Minion

About copyright: Its really something great when people like what I have designed.
You can sell the final item or whatever you like, but it would be nice to reference
where you found the pattern!

If there is anything you do not understand or there are any mistakes, please, send
me a message!
As you can see in the way I write, English is not my first language. So, you could
come across some mistakes and grammatical inconsistencies. Sorry and my
apologies!

ABOUT YARN:
Any yarn would do nicely.
Ive used DMC Natura XL Just Cotton: 4 yellow skeins, 2 blue skeins, 1 black skein,
1 white skein and 1 gray skein.

ABOUT GAUGE:
It is not important, as far as you are consistent with your tension.
ABOUT HOOK:
It depends on the yarn. Ive used a 4.5 mm hook. Remember that when making
amigurumis, stitches should be tight.
YOU WILL NEED:
Yarn.
Two black eyes.
4 black buttons
Stuffing.
Tapestry needle and/or invisible thread and needle

ABOUT CROCHET TERMS:

Ive followed the US terminology.
Stitch: st
Chain: ch
Slip stitch: sl st
Single crochet: sc
FLO: Front Loop Only
BLO: Back Loop Only

Sc2tog: decreasing two sc (i.e., 2 st become 1)

Sc3tog: decreasing 3 sc (i.e. 3 stitches become 1)
Sc4tog: decreasing 4 sc (i.e. 4 stitches become 1)
Picot: ch3, sl st at the base of the 1st st.
NOTE: Ive made all the decreases as invisible decreases

ABOUT THE PATTERN:

All the pattern is worked in spirals, so do not join at the end/beginning of a

Round 6: [sc2tog, sc in next 4sts] repeat 2 times (10 sts)

effect) (10sts)

an sl st and fasten off.
Stuff hand.

COMMENT: I made the head and body in two parts: the yellow

together. Of course it can be made in one piece.
Head
Using yellow
Round 1: magic ring, 6sc (alternatively, 2 ch and 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook).

Round 13: [2sc in next st, 1sc in next 11st] repeat 6 times (78 sts)
Round 14-32: sc in each st across (78sts)
Comment: arms are attached at rounds 33 and 34, but they can be sewn later.
Although I find this method more long-lasting:

Round 33: [working through both thicknesses (arm and body) sc in next 4 sts (use
only 4 sts of the arm and leave the remaining 4 sts to attach in next row), sc in
next 35 sts] repeat 2 times. (78 sts)
Round 34: work as in round 34.

Round 35-48: sc in each st across (78 sts).

Eyes can be sewn.
