Responsible for

Physiotherapy services to the RGC U18 Team players.

Contractual Status

Season 2015/16
Subject to Performance Review

Role Summary

Delivery of Elite Level Physiotherapy services for RGC U18 players.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

As a member of the RGC Medical Team, the post holder will:


Be present at all training days and fixtures for the RGC U18 Squad.
Aid in implementing MSK and movement screening programmes for
the RGC U18 Squad.
Aid in undertaking of pre-campaign screening of RGC U18 players
to include medical history, demographic data, cognitive baseline
testing, cardiac screening, consent and medical insurance
arrangements.
Aid with pitch-side medical provision for RGC U18 Squad.
Maintain up to date medical records as per CSP guidelines using
the RGC IT communications platform.
Communicate information regarding injuries with players, their
parents, coaches and all other support staff for the management of
team affairs and within the rules governing professional
confidentiality.
Participate in applied research across the organisation as
appropriate, including the collection of injury surveillance data.
Any other duties as may be requested.

Personal Specification
Experience

Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.


Experience of working or competing in elite sport.

Skills & Qualification

Essential
BSc in Physiotherapy
CSP membership with HCPC registration
Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint or OS
Pages/Numbers/Keynote.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
Current ICIS Pitch side trauma certificate.
Experience working within Rugby Union.

Other

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
