Based Company) As an Equipment preservation Specialist and Start up of Equipments.
Preservation of Rotary & Static Equipment maintaining the commissioning spares,
special tools, spares for construction two years spares etc construction spares Inspection
of rotary and static equipments. Co-coordinating with manufacturer representatives for
installation of rotary equipments. Under the contract of Saudi Kayan.Olefines Project.
(SABIC Group) which is one of the world’s largest petrochemical complex.

Responsibilities:
Preservation of rotary and static equipments, pre commissioning and plant start up
activities, etc. Co-coordinating with the equipment manufacturer delegates at the site for
assemblies of rotary and stationary equipments. Alignment of Pumps,Rhour Pumps,Flow
Serve, Gabbonita Pumps and Ebara Vertical Pumps. Reciprocating Compressors from
Mitsui Etc.
Maintaining of stocks of spare parts, consumables, Periodic inspections of the
equipments. Maintaining the history of equipments and the related documents . Apart
from this I am doing the equipment inspection job.

Job Responsibilities
Supervising the execution of day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance
activities; related to mechanical plant and process equipment, pumps, (Feed pumps,
Product transferring pumps, Hot oil pumps, Vacuum pumps, Chemical Dosing pumps,
Pumps for hazardous chemicals etc.). Reciprocating Gas Compressors (Double acting
Single stage and Multistage Compressors, Screw type, etc.) Burton Coblin, Ingersol
Rand, Gardner Denver Compressors and pumps like Gabbonita (process pumps)
Sundyne, Feed pumps Movex Product transfer pumps, Fin Fan Coolers, Blowers.
Products process plant, Diesel engines, Nitrogen plant, Mobile Air compressors, Heavy
equipments, Fire fighting Equipments. Stationary equipments like Reactors, Columns,
Tanks, Heaters, Flares, Truck loading, Ship loading and Drum filling facilities,
Conveyors Piping/structure, Sand blasting/Painting, valves servicing, workshop
machines and other mechanical plant and equipment. Fabrication of spare parts required
for the plant and machinery .etc
Coordinating with operations department to release equipment and plant and with other
maintenance supervisors to coordinate work activities, endorses necessary work orders
and work permits and supervising the actual execution of work on site and or in
workshop.
• Investigating and troubleshooting maintenance problems.
• Supervising all maintenance work carried out in the mechanical workshop and
plant ensures availability and operability of all workshop machines and equipment.
• A power user of PM module SAP 4.7 version for all mechanical related activities.
• Receive approved maintenance notifications, estimate required work, generate
work orders and obtain proper authorization to release these orders.
• Plan and schedule daily maintenance activities and provide required support to
field maintenance personnel.
• Continuously review equipment spare parts and Bill of Materials to ensure
availability and issue material requisition for non-stock items required.
• Technical review of quotations received against the RFQs sent by the
procurement department and extend recommendation to the procurement department.
• Technical completion of maintenance work orders and prepare backlog report.
• Carry out all preparatory works for unit shutdown and preparation for the start up
of the plant. Refinery Turnaround including preparation of work packages, scope of
 work to be included in the contract document and a workable plan to be followed
during execution.
• Follow up on field work progress, identify problem areas and update the plan
accordingly.
• Review contractor bid packages, attend contract clarification and work progress
meeting, perform any and all duties deemed necessary by the maintenance
management to accomplish the successful operation of the refinery.
• Act as a resourceful person for the daily planning engineers and technicians, to
improve the efficiency of the group and improve the overall planning effort in the
refinery.
• Organize and supervise a maintenance planning group in the planning,
estimating, scheduling and coordinating the execution of daily maintenance work
orders and construction work, ensuring that enough resources, materials and services
are available.
• Direct the planning effort to continuously review spare parts for existing and new
equipment to ensure availability for normally scheduled or emergency repairs.
• Receive and review all maintenance work requests, define work type (e g
electrical machinery, materials etc.) and identify work classification.
Apart from this responsibilities I am the in-charge of Machine Shop in fabrication of
precise spare parts for the plant equipments, like Rings, shafts, stuffing box packings,
flanges of all sizes Re work of spares if needed. Refurbishing of spares. Welding, piping
and all fabrication jobs that is needed in the refinery.

Installing of rotary and stationary equipments like pumps, Compressors, heaters, heat
exchangers, water boxes, coolers etc. Preparations for pre commissioning and
commissioning activities.etc. Preventive and break down maintenance of mobile cranes,
fork lifts, vibrators, Hydraulic trucks, Hydraulic lifts, light and heavy vehicles (petrol and
diesel) Maintaining the stocks of critical spare parts. Fabrication and refurbishing of
spares parts for the power plant and water desalination plant if required. Maintaining the
history of the equipments. Periodic inspections of heavy equipments.etc.
Fabrication of heat exchangers, water boxes, after heaters, preheaters, columns,
reactors and structural fabrications. Machining of different sizes of flanges ranging from
2” to 16”, manhole covers, pins keys, parting of pipes, fabrication of perforated S.S.
pipes, boring of boiler shells, Re-machining of rotor brass contacts and rework jobs.
Having adequate knowledge of handling semi automatic and automatic lathe machines,
vertical lathes, Jig boring machines, Milling machines, Radial drilling machines,
Hydraulic presses, band saw, bench grinder etc. Inspection of exchangers, water boxes
structural work and spools etc.
Apart from the routine job, I was responsible for maintenance of heavy equipments like
Forklifts, Mobile Cranes, EOT cranes and Hydraulic trucks, Conveyors light and heavy
vehicles
