Business Ownership Initiative

Explore your entrepreneurial interest of
business ownership in an individual
session. For an appointment time, call

Career Networking: Provides the
opportunity for professionals to share job
search strategies, job leads, community
resources information, and practice
techniques with fellow job seekers.
Computer Basics:
101 - If all things computer related are
completely out of your comfort zone, this
workshop may be for you. You will walk
away from this session with the knowledge
and skills to boot up your computer,
confidently operate your keyboard and
mouse, startup computer programs, and
access the internet.
Note: A Basic Computer class is also
taught at the Noblesville Library on
the second Thursday of each month.
Register today.
201 - If you know how to play Solitaire on
your computer, but not much else, this
workshop may be for you. You will walk
away from this session with the knowledge
and skills to utilize search engines to find
information, open up a new email address
and use it to send and receive emails, and
operate your keyboard and mouse with
even more confidence.
301 - If you want to know how to do more
than just email and play Solitaire on your
computer, this workshop may be for you.
You will walk away from this session with
the knowledge and skills to bookmark some
commonly used websites, send
attachments in an email, and a basic
introduction to Microsoft Word.

In Transition: The orientation workshop


for new clients to learn about options,
trends, and services. You will get the big
picture job search overview and start
planning your future. Meet with a Career
Coach to see how they can help you with
your job search.

Know Your Skills: Learn how you have


over 300 skills. Be able to list your top 30
integrated and supportive skills. Come
see how skilled you really are and how to
focus the employer on you!

LinkedIn Basic Beginner: Profile,


Security, Contacts: Review Profile for
the job seeker, set Security Settings, begin
your experience record, request a
connection, and get started with Groups.
Good to have a LinkedIn account
(registered) with LinkedIn do not
have to have Connections (do not use
import). Bring your password.

LinkedIn Advanced Job Search &


Research: Job, Companies, and
Groups: How to: utilize the Job Tab,
research and follow Companies; be
involved with Groups and participate in
discussions.

Marketing Yourself - Branding &


Networking: Develop and discuss how
your 30-second introduction, business
card, LinkedIn profile and Personal
Marketing Plan all work together to create
your personal brand and networking
strategy.

Mid-life Job Search: Are you feeling too


old to become re-employed? Come hear
the issues regarding mid-life job search and
understand how to use age to your
advantage.

Your Took Kit: These workshops will be on


Thursdays from 11am to noon and cover a
variety of topics. Walk-ins welcome.

Resume - Employer Focused: Do you


know the latest strategies for an effective
employer focused resume? Come discuss
techniques and formats suitable for you.

Learn 9 successful strategies, including inperson, paper, and getting an introduction
to an employer.

TABE Online - Tests of Adult Basic


Education: Online adult basic skills
assessment which evaluates skills for
training and employment, or to determine
readiness to take the GED.
