Before filling the on-line application form, read the information booklet carefully.
Also, first ensure your eligibility (educational qualification, age etc.) and other
requirements for admission as given in this booklet.
Admissions to Govt. nursing college Jaipur, Govt. self financed nursing colleges and
Private nursing colleges affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur for
the session 2014-15 shall be made by the RUHS.

All candidates are required to deposit non refundable application fees of Rs. 1500/- (Rs.
750/- for SC & ST) + Rs. 10/- for e-Mitra services charges at any e-Mitra/CSC or using
http://emitra.gov.in

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION


All residents of India fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned below can apply for
B.Sc. (N) 2014-15 of Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for admission to
Government nursing college Jaipur, Government self financed nursing colleges and
private nursing colleges affiliated to RUHS, Jaipur and directions of Supreme Court
issued in case of P.A. Inamdar v/s State of Maharashtra (2005) 6 SCC 537.
1. Educational Qualification
Passed senior secondary examination (class XII) of the Board of Secondary
Education, Rajasthan or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto
with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and
English taken together at the qualifying examination (40% for natural born SC&
ST)
2. AGE
Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 years in
case of females and 25 years in case of males on or before 31st December, 2014
Date of birth as recorded in the secondary education certificate will be treated as
authentic.
3. Reservation
The reservation is applicable in Govt. nursing college Jaipur, Govt. self financed
nursing colleges and Private nursing colleges. The reservation of seats will be
subject to statutory provisions enacted by State of Rajasthan.
1. 16%, 12%, 21% and 1% of total seats will be reserved for natural born
candidates of SC, ST, OBC and SBC respectively (not adopted) as notified in
the Presidential Order for the State of Rajasthan. Female candidates will be
given reservation as per Government orders.

2. For claiming reservation and relaxation under Disabled category


a. 3% seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by
candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 50% to 70%.
b. Provided that in case any seat in this 3% quota remains unfilled on account
of unavailability of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs
from 50% to 70% then any such unfilled seat in this 3% quota shall be
filled up by persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs from 40% to
50% before they are included in the annual sanctioned seat for general
category candidates.
Candidates seeking benefit of reservation shall be required to produce for
verification, at the time of reporting at the allotted college, the caste certificate
(SC, ST, Non creamy layer OBC, Non Creamy layer SBC) or the additional
category certificate (PH) issued by the competent authority and submit attested
copies of the above documents.
4. Domicile criteria
Admission to the B.Sc. (Nursing) courses 2014-15 is open to all residents of India.
However, preference shall be given to candidate of Rajasthan domicile.
5. Medical fitness
A candidate desirous of admission will have to deposit the medical fitness
certificate at the time of reporting to the allotted college on the prescribed form
certified by a medical officer of the Government of Rajasthan as per the medical
standards.
TENTATIVE SEAT MATRIX (2014-15)
Admission in the allotted college will be made only after receiving permission of
statutory bodies for the academic session 2014-15.
In the Government colleges, 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through
RUHS 2014-15 and preference will be given to candidates of Rajasthan domicile. 50%
seats in B.Sc. nursing course by female candidates in all categories. In case non
availability of female candidates, such seats shall be filled by male candidates.
In Govt. Nursing college Jaipur and Govt. self financed Nursing Colleges 100% seats of
the sanctioned seats. In Private nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake

sanctioned) shall be filled through RUHS 2014-15 and preference will be given to
candidates of Rajasthan domicile.
The tentative number of seats in participated colleges in Rajasthan shall be notified at
RUHS website (www.ruhsraj.org). The exact number of seats in each college will be
finalized before online counselling/allotment and updated on the website of RUHS.

FEE STRUCTURE
The candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee. The fees once deposited by the
candidate for admission will not be refunded in any case.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
ADMISSION PROCEDURE (APPLIABLE FOR BOTH) SECTION I AND
SECTION II
1. Candidates eligible for admission have to download Option Form, Undertaking
Form, Seat Matrix and instructions from RUHS website. Common entrance test
will be held, the option form, undertaking form, seat matrix, challan form and
instructions may be made available to the candidates on the examination day.
2. The duly filled option form and undertaking form have to be submitted by along
with e-Mitra bearing a sum of Rs. 10,000/- at any Branch of Rajasthan. No Option
form will be valid without the prescribed fee. No correction will be allowed in the
Option Form once submitted.
a. The amount of Rs. 10000/- deposited with the Option Form will be adjusted
against tution fees for those candidates who have been allotted the nursing
collage by convener Admission Board Nursing, 2014.
b. This amount will be refunded to only those candidates who have not been
allotted any institute by Admission Board Nursing, 2014 (Choice Exhausted).
c. If a seat is allotted to a candidate as per his/her options & merit and if he/she
does not report in the allotted institute, then this amount will be forfeited (i.e.
not refunded in any case).
3. The allotment of nursing college will be carried out through the computer software
by strictly following the order of merit, seats available and the order of options
filled in by the candidate in the Option Form. No admission shall be made after the
date notified by Convener, Admission Board Nursing -2014.

4. In case of tie position following steps in order be taken to resolve


a. One who has passed the 10+2 examination in less number of attempts will
be given preference.
b. If there is further tie, the relative merit will be decided by the age of the
candidates. The candidate of higher age (older candidate) will be placed on
higher merit.
c. If there is further tie, candidate securing more marks in Secondary
examination or its equivalent examination will be given preference.
5. Candidates are advised in their own interest to secure information regarding the
admission from the authorized website of RUHS (www.ruhsraj.org). The nonreceipt of communication to the candidate from Convener, Admission Board
Nursing-2014 will not be accepted as a ground for not submitting the Option Form
or non-reporting in the allotted institute on the scheduled time and date. The
candidates allotment shall stand automatically cancelled if he/she does not report
IN PERSON t the allotted college as per schedule. In such case his registration
with Admission Board Nursing -2014 will be cancelled.
6. The affiliated nursing college will be provided the list of selected candidates
which are allotted to it along with their contact number for the purpose of getting
them joined after dully verifying their credentials.
7. The allotted institute would check the documents and other required certificates
with originals. If the admission is granted, the amount would not be returned
/refunded under any circumstances. The original documents will be returned by
the respective college after the university enrolment has been done.
Note: Any change in mode of counseling/allotment, separate instructions/guidelines shall
be intimated to all through Newspapers/ Website etc.

Admissions on the vacant seats

No admission shall be made after 30-09-2014 or date as notified by RUHS.


The admissions shall be treated as provisional subject to the final decision of any pending
case(s) in any court of law, if applicable to these admissions. Further, the provisional
status of admission shall stand cleared only after enrolment by the RUHS.
The decision of the admission board shall be final and binding to all.
All the judgments relevant to these admissions, passed by any Honble court of justice as
well as rules existing at the time of making admissions will be applicable on these
admissions and the candidates will have to abide compulsorily with such judgments, rules
and the changes.

INSTRUCTION FOR THE ENTRANCE TEST:


The admission would be given strictly in accordance with merit list prepared on the basis
of entrance examination marks obtaining in entrance test.
The examination will be held on 27-06-2014 & 28-06-2013.
a. The entrance test for seeking admission in Basic B.Sc. Nursing shall be on the
standard 10+2 Science (Bio) of Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer, Rajasthan
or equivalent.
b. There shall be one paper of 2 hour duration containing 100 multiple choice
questions.
Areas which will be included to the Entrance Examination.
1. Biology(Zoology & Botany)
2. Physics
3. Chemistry
Medium of instruction for entrance test will be English and Hindi. There will not be any
provision of negative marking.
a. Online examination will be held on 27-06-2014 & 28-06-2014
b. The allotments of Center, Roll No., and seating arrangement will be at the
discretion of the University.
c. The candidate is expected to take his/her seat at least Two Hours before
commencement of the examination. Candidate coming after 15 minutes of the

commencement of the examination will not be permitted to appear in the


examination.
Candidate will be required to produce Admission Card before he/she is allowed to
enter the examination center.
No Candidate will be allowed to carry any text material written or printed, bits of
paper or any other material except the admission card inside the hall.
Cellular/Mobile Phone/Pager/Calculator or any other electronic devices will
not be permitted in the examination hall.
The details relating to conduct of the examination (B.Sc. Nursing Entrance 201415) shall be available at the RUHS website in due course.
In addition to provisions laid down in Ordinance 152 to deal with cases of unfair
means during the examination by the University, such candidates will also be dealt
with additionally in pursuance of the Rajasthan public Examination (prevention of
Unfair means) Act, 1992.
The University shall arrange for videography/photography of individual candidate
for identification of the candidate. The candidates are required to keep their head
in upright position and face the camera during this process so that their identity
could be clearly established.
In order to prevent impersonation, left thumb impression shall also be obtained on
a biometric machine during the conduct of examination. in case left thumb
impression could not be registered on the machine due to injury or some other
reason, right thumb impression or impression of any finger, in case other thumb is
also injured, shall be registered on the machine.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Before filling the on-line application form, read the information booklet carefully.
Also, first ensure your eligibility (educational qualification, age etc.) and other
requirements for admission as given in this booklet.
You should be very careful in filling-up the on-line application form. If any lapse is
detected during the scrutiny, your candidature will be rejected at any time of admission
process or even at a later stage.
In case a candidate fills two or more on-line application forms for the same course, the
last filled and completed application form will be considered for further processing.

(A) Guidelines for Submission of On-line Application at e-Mitra Kiosk/CSC:


Applicant can visit www.ruhsraj.org and fill the form on his own.
In case the applicant wants to fill up the form with the help of e-Mitra Kiosk/CSC holder, the eMitra Kiosk/CSC holder will have to follow the steps mentioned below for filling up the form
and submission of on-line application through e-Mitra/CSC Kiosks on www.ruhsraj.org
1. E-Mitra Kiosk/CSC owner will make entry in online form on www.ruhsraj.org in
discussion with applicant.
2. Applicant will re-verify & revalidate the details filled by kiosk and confirm the Kiosk
holder for final submission of form. Kiosk holder will submit the form after confirmation
from applicant.
3. Once the form is submitted by kiosk after confirmation from applicant, no changes or
corrections can be made at the end of kiosk.
4. For submission of form there may be a need of scanning of applicant's signature as well
as his photograph. This work will be part of submission of Online Application and no
additional service charge will be paid by the Applicant.
5. All Kiosk owners must have required hardware in working condition (e.g. Computer, web
camera, scanner, printer etc.) with power backup and internet connection for submission
of online form / depositing fees.
6. E-Mitra Kiosk/CSC holder will charge Rs 20/- from applicant for online submission of
application form.
7. E-Mitra Kiosk/CSC holder will only charge Rs.5/- additionally for taking the photograph
by web camera, if required. All other activities will be covered under the prescribed
service charge (Rs 20/-) and no additional amount will be charged for such other
activities.

(B) Guidelines for Deposition of Examination Fees at eMitra Kiosk/CSC:

Applicant may come to e-Mitra Kiosk/CSC only for depositing fees and he / she may fill up the
online form on his own. For deposition of fees through e-Mitra kiosk/CSC, following steps
would be needed:1

Applicant would visit kiosk and inform about the exam for which he / she wants to apply.

Kiosk holder will fill the necessary details of applicant. Applicant shall cross check the
details filled by e-Mitra kiosk/CSC and ensure that correct details are filled by e-Mitra
kiosk/CSC.

3. e-Mitra kiosk/CSC holder after filling the details of the applicant will collect the amount
(Exam Fees) in cash only and shall generate the receipt of examination fees on e-mitra
portal (http://emitra.gov.in)
4. Kiosk holders will give him the unique token number (mentioned on the receipt generated
through eMitra portal) and charge Rs. 10/- for depositing fee only.
5. Applicants are advised to provide correct details at the time of depositing fees at e-Mitra
kiosk/CSC, as below information are fetched from the token issued to applicant and
automatically filled in the online application form:

Special Note: Fee deposition shall be allowed only till one (1) day prior to the last date for
submission of Online Application Forms. For e.g.: if T is the last date for online submission of
application form, then fee deposition shall be allowed only till T-1.

(C) Guidelines for Deposition of Examination Fees through Debit/Credit Card


or through Net Banking:
1. In case any applicant wishes to deposit the examination fees through Debit/ Credit Card
or through Net Banking, he/ she shall use the payment gateway available on e-Mitra
portal (Axis Bank/ ICICI Bank/ M/s IndiaIdeas.com (Billdesk)) at the time of transaction.
2. The transaction processing fees charged by the payment gateway for such payments shall
be borne by the applicant.
3. In case of deposition of examination fees by applicants through Debit/ Credit Card or
through Net Banking, he/ she shall pay Rs.10/- only for depositing fees of regular

University Examinations, in addition to the payment of applicable charges to the payment


gateway.
4. Refer general guidelines for online payment using e-Mitra portal for more details.

(D) Guidelines for Downloading Admission Card:


The admission cards for preliminary examination would be made available on web portal - on
www.ruhsraj.org; which can be downloaded and printed through e-Mitra/CSC kiosks. For this
purpose the e-Mitra/CSC kiosks shall only charge Rs.5/- from applicant.

Keep the following ready before you start filling Part II of the on-line application
form:
1. Scanned copy of your recent passport size coloured photo (taken on or after 0101-2014) and signature in the prescribed format (jpg or jpeg, size preferably upto
maximum 35 KB)
Be very careful while scanning your signature. You should first put your
signature in an area of about 2" 1" on blank paper with a ball point pen. Scan
this paper. Cut/ select only signature area (2" 1") and save it as jpg or jpeg (do
not upload your signature in A4 size format / full paper).
2. Scanned copy of your e-Mitra Receipt (jpg or jpeg, size preferably upto
maximum 150 KB)
3.

Scanned copy of your SC/ST/OBC NCL/SBC NCL certificate (if applicable) in


the applicable proforma and in format (jpg or jpeg, size preferably upto maximum 150
KB)

4.

Scanned copy of your PH/WDP/KM certificate (if applicable) in the applicable


proforma and in format (jpg or jpeg, size preferably upto maximum 150 KB)

5.

Scanned copy of PH category certificate (if applicable) in the applicable proforma


and in format (jpg or jpeg, size preferably upto maximum 150 KB)
Do not make any mistake in uploading the above documents.
INSTRUCTINOS FOR FILLING ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM

The processing of application form is based on the information filled by the candidate.
Any error committed intentionally or otherwise may result in cancellation of your
candidature.
There are two part of the on-line application form.
Click the option - Fill application form Part I
PART I
1. Select appropriate salutation and Write your name as it appears in your
SSC/SSLC/ 10th class mark sheet.
2. Write fathers name.
3. Write mothers name.
4. Present communication address: Write the full address along with city, pin code,
district where the communication to you could be made.
5. Select your state from the list given.
6. Write STD code and your residence phone number, if available, otherwise leave
blank.
7. Write your cell number (without zero 0) compulsorily i.e. only 10 digit number.
8. Write your email ID (for example abcd@gmail.com) where confirmation message
of submission of your on-line application form could be received by you.
9. Permanent address: If your permanent address is same as present address, click on
the check box, otherwise, write the full permanent address along with city, pin
code.
Select your state from the list given.
10. Select your date of birth as it appears in your 10 th class mark sheet, only from the
calendar appearing on the screen.
11. Select nationality: Indian/Other.

If marks are not awarded, write CGPA after applying the conversion factor.
19. Information regarding conduct/character certificate
a. Write last attended institute

b. Write Name & address of two responsible persons


c. Mention whether you have ever been penalized, removed or blacklisted, if yes
then mentions the section under which penalized and also mention the penalty.
20. Check and verify the information filled by you before pressing the Submit
Details button. Submit Details
Important: This screen is not your application form. Do not print this screen. Your
Part I of application form (that you have filled on-line) will be generated only after
clicking on submit button appearing below.
21. Press SUBMIT button. SUBMIT
Wherever any correction is required, a message for correction will appear. Correct
the same by pressing Edit and then click on Confirm and Continue button.
Note down the user ID (your application form no.) and password for further steps.
(You have to use this form no. and your password to login for remaining steps to
complete the application form)
22. Select the option Print e-Mitra Slip (ensure that printer is connected to the
computer system) or press Click here to close the window page if you wish to
print it at a later stage. Print e-Mitra Slip.
23. Take the printout of e-Mitra Slip and deposit the on-line application form fee (as
printed in your e-Mitra Slip + Rs. 10/- as e-Mitra service charges, at any eMitra/CSC kiosk center authorized by the Government of Rajasthan and obtain the
e-Mitra Receipt duly containing 16 digit token number; or using
http://emitra.gov.in/ (through Internet Explorer only).

Part II
24. To fill subsequent part (Part-II) of on-line application form, select Fill
Application Form Part II option.
25. Enter Your user ID or Password
26. Enter your valid 16 digit e-Mitra token number.

27. Documents uploading


Choose and upload the applicable documents (photograph, signature, e-Mitra
receipt PH/WDP/KM certificate (if applicable), SC/ST/OBC NCL/SBC NCL
certificate (if applicable) file one by one and check change in the status. Your
photograph and signature will appear on screen and a message will appear on
screen about successful uploading of documents, if uploaded.
If your photo/signature image is appearing small or is not visible then it means
your photo/signature image file is not as per the prescribed format. Re-upload the
same (both photo and signature file), if required.
After this, press SUBMIT button.

28. A declaration will appear on the screen. Check (tick) on this Declaration: It is a
must.
I do hereby declare that all the information given by me in support of my
application is true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge, is binding
on me and nothing has been hidden by me. I shall not claim any change or
alteration. If any of them is found to be incorrect or false, my candidature will be
liable to be rejected and I shall be liable to any penal action and / or punishment as
may be deemed fit by the RUHS.
I have gone through all the rules, information, instructions of the notification and I
promise to abide by them.

29. Print copy of the application form


By clicking Print application form filled on-line option, print two copies of the

application form (filled on-line) on A4 size paper and keep the same along with
the following documents compulsorily with you:

Paste your unattested recent passport size coloured photograph, at the space
provided on the printout of application form. This photograph must be same as
uploaded by you while filling the on-line application form.

30. Sign the declaration on the printout of the application form. It is a must.

31. Put the thumb impressions at specified place.


32. Keep the completed application form for submission when required. You are not
required to send to RUHS the print copy of your application form filled online.

You will be required to submit one print copy of the application form (duly
completed in all respects) at the time of reporting at the allotted college.
A confirmation message of submission of your on-line application form shall be
sent at your email ID. Do check your spam folder / junk folder in case you do not
find it in your inbox.

Part III:- Selection of college


After completion of entrance test the candidate who have been selected can enter
in part III of application form and can opt their choice of Nursing Colleges.
Again, select the college (as your third choice/option).
Now, click on >> button to transfer it to right hand side box.
The same will appear on right side box as your third choice.
You must choose minimum 1 college as your choice/option. You may choose as
many choices/options as you wish.

You may choice your order of preference by moving the same upward or
downward using the buttons appearing at the right side box.
33. Once you submit, you can view the completed application form that you have
filled on-line (to check correctness of data filled.)
If you find that any information filled is not correct, click Back button and click
Refill Part II of your on-line application form option and make desired
corrections and click on Submit button.
When you find that all the information filled by you is correct you may opt for
printing the application form by clicking Back Button.
34. A declaration will appear on the screen. Check (tick) on this Declaration: It is a
must.

I do hereby declare that all the information given by me in support of my


application is true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge, is binding
on me and nothing has been hidden by me. I shall not claim any change or
alteration. If any of them is found to be incorrect or false, my candidature will be
liable to the rejected and I shall be liable to any penal action and / or punishment
as may be deemed fit by the RUHS.

I have gone through all the rules, information, instructions of the notifications and

Once you check on the declaration, Part III of your application form will become
non-editable. Otherwise, your application form will become non-editable
automatically on the last date of filling on-line application form.

A confirmation message with your form number shall be sent to you through
Email on final submission (after declaration) of the on-line application form.
35. Print copy of the application form
By clicking Print application form on-line option, print two copies of the
application form (filled on-line) on A4 size paper and keep the same along with
the following documents compulsorily with you:
1. Receipt issued by e-Mitra/CSC kiosk containing the Token number (original)
2. Mark Sheet of 10+2 (senior school certificate examination) or its equivalent.
3. Date of Birth Certificate: 10th class mark sheet/ certificate or any other
equivalent certificate showing the date of birth.
4. Mark sheet of secondary examination(10th class)
5. Caste certificate (SC, ST, Non creamy layer OBC, Non creamy layer SBC)
issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
6. Physical disability (PH) certificate issued by competent authority,
7. Domicile certificate by the competent authority, if applicable.
8. Any other relevant certificate(s)

36. Sign the declaration on the printout of the application form. It is a must.
37. Keep the completed application form for submission when required. You are not
required to send the print copy of your application form filled on-line to
RUHS.
You are required to submit a print copy of your application form (duly
completed in all respects) at the time of reporting at the allotted college.
