In order to gain the benefits from a reduction in cable diameter the maximum
push force that can be applied to the cable must remain
at a high level.

thecableandtheminiductboreiscrucial.Itistherefore
recommendedthatadditionalwetlubricantisaddedto
theductpriortoinstallingthecableorlubricatingthe
cableduringtheinstallationprocess.Thiscanimprovethe
installationperformanceofthecablebyasmuchas20%.
Thiswetlubricantmustbespecificallydesignedforthe
installationofminicables.Usinglubricantdesignedfor
winchedcablesisnotrecommended.
Theuseofwetlubricantisnotrecommendedforusewith
blownfibre.
