ARTICLE 1:WHICH TEAMS WOULD BE IN THE FINALS OF

THE ICC WORLDCUP 2015?

Cricket like any other sport is based on

consistency. There is not much of a difference
between home ground morale booster and
away ground consistency of performance,as
both the tools provide sufficient results so as
to qualify for higher battles. If we take the
examples of the both the cases we get two
teams who would deserve to be called
upon,namely New Zealand & India,which are
supporting the former and latter cases
respectively.
New Zealand is partially on it's home ground
where-in fans go all-out on cheering and
hooting for their nation's lads to do a
wonderful task of blasting boundaries and
taking insane,bail-shaking wickets. This is
one of the most significant reasons as to why
there is a high morale game on the Kiwi's
side, apart from the magnificent players it
has,to do what is needed to take the trophy
home.
India on the other side is consistent with it's
strategies and game-play at such an intense
level that out of the six games played as of
now, they have managed to wrap-up all the
opponent teams with a sensational effort by
the bowlers to not look at anything but the
all-ten-wickets-down strategy or in simple
words,all-out. Of course,the batsmen have

done a decent job themselves of managing to

score according to the required run-rate.
Even though it is not the Indian's home
ground, they have supporters from all the
parts of the world ranging from anything
between thirty-forty percentage of the total
number of spectators who are all their diehard fans.
This world cup is just the beginning of a new
revolution based on how humanity works in
play by all casts, religions present in our
human race, who have come together as one
in order to take this game to the next level.
As asked by a radio jockey to a Pakistani, who
craves to see his team with the trophy, that
after two consecutive matches being lost
what he would do if Pakistan is eliminated
from this tournament, the man
wholeheartedly replied that he wouldn't
frown as his next best team of preference to
take away the winning slot is India, who is
playing at high stakes at it's performance.
This shows how every individual loves each
other irrespective of the cruelty opposed by
certain democratic leaders. Sports is merely
a way to bring together nations from all
around the globe.
The Kiwi's have been impressive too with a
win-rate of hundred percent as they stood

undefeated in all the six matches played with

teams like Australia and Sri Lanka being
present in the same pool. New Zealand tops
the chart of it's pool with twelve points in
hand being chased by none other than the
Aussies with nine points. This amazing
performance is just a way to show that they
are ready to face any team coming up as
they have a tight bond between the team
mates and a perfect gel-in to thrust into any
other team's strategy. Also, the fans have
been at their best by loud cries of joy for
every wicket that is taken and every
boundary that is crossed. The supporters of
the Kiwi's team easily rounds-up to a neverdescending percentage of sixty and above
which is more than half of the total
spectators howling around for the wrath of
gods to demolish their opponents.
Coming up next to face the undefeated
squad of the Kiwi's in the Quarter Finals is
West Indies, who have a track record of
coming out of the blue to destroy the state of
happiness around the best teams.
Nonetheless, predictions have given an upperhand to New Zealand to take this match
away to the semi's like any other normal day
of cricket for them, after their glorious
performance in the early stages. With the

doubt of coin flipping on the Indies side,it is a

very crucial stage for the Kiwi's as one
mistake could possibly make them as
endangered as the their national bird and
push them out of this knock-out tournament
of extraordinary gentlemen.
According to further calculations &
analysis,New Zealand might have to face the
feared South Africans in the Semi's while on
the other hand,India would be going through
living hell themselves by facing their all-time
feared team of Aussies, especially after being
defeated to them in the Tri-series. India's
mid-summer nightmare of facing the Aussies
would only be after their win against
Bangladesh and Australia's win against
Pakistan,as clearly the track records show
would happen.
"Money comes and goes but sportsmanship
comes and grows." With this thought in
mind,it would be enthralling to witness New
Zealand & India in the finals of the ICC
Worldcup 2015 as they have retained the
position of being the favourites ,and as
always may the best team win the glory they
deserve.

ARTICLE 2:ARSENAL Vs MONACO(second leg)

Arsenal's first leg performance at their home

ground left them astounded with a defeat of
3-1 to Monaco, which almost left them without
a leg to advance to the quarter finals of the
Champions League.
However,on Tuesday,Arsenal's coach Arsene
Wenger, with a gambling of his own brought
his team to take vengeance in the away
ground, during the second leg ,pacing ahead
of Monaco with a clean sheet and the
scoreboard picturing a two nil defeat for the
home ground defending French team.
Being conscious of the fact that Monaco has
a new game-play and an amazing statistic,a
new game plan had to be executed and the
score of the second leg should have resulted
in three times the number of goals scored by
Monaco,so as to retain a spot by the Gunners
in the quarter finals.
Trailing a 3-1 score in the first leg,Monaco
was playing blindly on high stakes just when
Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey created
holes in the opposition's net as well as
dreams to take the game away easily. Both
the Gunners came out of the brink to shine
as stars of progression & hope for Arsenal's
living dream of UEFA Champions League ,a
tournament where nothing but champions

from all the leagues qualify to hold the most

prestigious trophy in the world of football.
The much needed third goal was a story
untold and the great chances for the Gunners
were directed in the opposite direction which
seemed a million miles away when the clock
ticked it's longest hand to put a halt to the
game. Monaco slipped into the quarter finals
and left Arsenal dumbstruck of what just
happened even after a thrashing,one-sided
game as seen in the second leg.
Arsene Wenger,was thoroughly disappointed
as his team was disqualified after equalising
3-3 on an aggregate with Monaco, who was
getting an upper-hand due to higher number
of goals being scored on the away ground.
According to a few remarks said by the
coach, the one that really makes a difference
in the 21st century is the fact that the away
goal rule was created in the 1960's and is
being given a lot weight in the present times.
Chelsea was eliminated from the Champions
League due to the same reason which made
Wegner comment on the rule further that it
was outdated and is bringing the best of
teams to pay for it. Arsene made a defending
remark on his team's performance with
Monaco and said that the only reason they

lost in the first leg was because of tiredness

which followed them after their game with
West Ham,which they won 3-0,and he added
on saying that Monaco did not deserve to
qualify.
Nonetheless, the French team has made it to
the quarter finals, irrespective of what the
scenario might have been and at the end of
the day that is all that matters. The prime
focus of Wenger's team has now shifted to
the Premiere League where they stand on the
third place with just one point behind the
second,Manchester City and seven points
behind Chelsea who stand with their chest
held high on the first position. With teams
like City and Chelsea,it is definitely no walk in
the park for the Gunners so their game needs
to be sprinted upon, both metaphorically and
literally on the ground.

Article 3:SRI LANKA Vs SOUTH AFRICA(QUARTER FINAL

1-ICC WC 2015)

A sunny day for the South Africans to storm

into the semi's at Sydney,on Wednesday.
With a crowd of twenty eight thousand
spectators to witness the first quarter finals
of the ICC Worldcup 2015, between South
Africa and Sri Lanka, was marked by two
historic events in sight that were celebrated
with fireworks and were given respect with
tears being shed all around.
Firstly,South Africa's first victory ever in a
Worldcup knockout game and lastly, the end
of an invulnerable partnership seen in this
swanky game,as Jayawardene and
Sangakkara have both retired from the
international form of the pompous sport of
Cricket.
With over four hundred ODIs played by both
the sportsmen and above twelve thousand
runs scored by each one of them, they hold a
record breaking partnership of more than
eleven thousand runs with sixty plus
centuries and thirty fifties scored together as
an insane duplet of partners in crime. They
have left a splendid benchmark for other
batsmen in their termination process of
bidding byes to the imperial era of the sport
they have loved more than their lives, and
made this game interesting for the viewers
who have held no grudge against the

wonderful innings and classy shots they have

managed to pull-off.
South Africa's win was a cracker as they
broke their jinx of elimination in a knockout
game in the Worldcup. They won by nine
wickets,Amla being the only batsmen taken
out by Malinga. One hundred and thirty three
was to be chased by the African's and the
target was fulfilled with one hundred and
ninety two balls remaining, which is the
largest victory in terms of balls remaining.
With a towering partnership of ninety four
runs in seventy balls, Du Plessis(21runs off
31balls) and De Kock(78runs off 57balls) lead
the tusking Africans one step closer to the
finals. JP Duminy's hattrick in the first innings
paid off well as a morale booster and a
source of inspiration for the batsmen to do a
plush job at batting their way to glory.
Although this was Sri Lanka's second lowest
score against South Africa in a
Worldcup,Sangakkara was just one stumping
away to set a record of his own,of being the
only wicket keeper to add hundred stumpings
to his name in the ODI format of the game.
There was a no fairy tale ending for
Jayawardene and Sangakkara but the
farewell definitely made them feel lighthearted and flooded tears all across the

ground, with hearts throbbing as fast as a

galloping horse to bid these champions a
much deserved goodbye for their
transcendent way of style and class brought
upon this game.
After-all,even the most colourful rainbow is
created by a mixture of depressing rainfall
and illuminating sun rays,so was this game a
solution of both the emotions being
portrayed and felt.

Article 4:BANGLADESH Vs INDIA(QUARTER FINAL 2-ICC

WC 2015)

On Thursday,India has shown a great scope

of improvement in it's sense of bowling
pattern adopted as it retained it's streak of
taking all the wickets on the MCG,for the
seventh time in a row & roaring into the
semi's against the best improved team of this
Worldcup,Bangladesh,who had advanced into
the quarter finals after taking on teams like
England, who were once masters of the game
of cricket.
The first innings were pretty tight as India
had lost Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli in
the beginning of ten overs. Not much of the
runs were scored in thirty five overs of the
innings, just when Rohit Sharma tied the rope
of the sinking boat of the Indians to his hands
and brought it to the shore. He went on to
score one hundred and thirty seven off one
hundred and twenty six balls. Suresh Raina
chipped in a quick sixty five to his name and
to add up to his team's total which made
quite a difference in the overall performance
for the champs.
India managed to reach a sum total of three
hundred and two runs, with a tinge of luck by
their side as Rohit Sharma would have gone
at an earlier stage with ninety runs in
hand,on Rubel Hossain's delivery which was
fortunately above the waist-height and was

therefore declared a no-ball.

At one hundred and fifteen with a loss of
three wickets,when India needed some
magical hope to raise them and pull up their
socks,came in these two victory-driven
batsmen to pull-off a trick better than most of
the magicians that merely left the Tigers with
their mouths wide open and eyes popping
out. The last fifteen overs were troublesome
for Bangladesh as India did not hesitate on
taking any chance to go for the line that gave
them boundaries.
Bangladesh did a decent job in the bowlingfirst-half of their game and managed to take
six wonderfully strategised wickets but that
was exactly the number of overs they batted
well with an amazing run-rate,Tamim Iqbal
and Imrul Kayes scored thirty one runs off six
overs. The run-rate went drastically down the
drains & went for a toss when both these
batsmen fell in successive balls in the next
over itself.
India's bowling was once laughed upon with a
dozen of extras to mark a humiliating
over, and now it is one of their strongest point
which has made us question our own facts of
rechecking the charts where-in such an
accusation was written against their names.
With an improbable skill found in the arms of

the Indian bowlers throughout this

tournament,it comes as a hazardous warning
for the challenger lined-up to meet this
rebellious team in the semi's on 24th of this
month, exactly nine godly days after the Ides
of March when Julius Caesar was brutally
assassinated. God bless the opponents with
shields of iron as the hits coming up next are
surprisingly made of bullet strength shot from
a P90.

Article 5:AUSTRALIA Vs PAKISTAN(QUARTER FINAL 3ICC WC 2015)

The highly-motivated Kangaroo's went on like

jumping jacks into the semi's defeating
Pakistan. On Friday,a fine game was
witnessed when Pakistan went on to bat first
and set a score for the home heroes to
chase.
Opening from Pakistan's end were Ahmed
Shehzad and Sarfraz Ahmed. Their strokes
were short-lived as the batsmen were
dismissed at five and ten runs respectively,in
a matter of just five overs. Along came Haris
Sohail and Misbah-Ul-Haq,who were focused
at one point which was to gain stability over
a couple of balls and not play any risky shots.
The ground-shaking innings of Pakistanis
gained some control and managed to take
the scoreboard to a hundred runs. In about
twenty overs, both the batsmen went for a
toss and lost their wickets too. The Pakistanis
scored a not-so-grand total of two hundred
and thirteen runs with a fall of all the
wickets, and a single ball remaining in
completion of the fifty overs inning.
Clearly,with a run-rate of 4.26, there was less
hope left for Pakistan to get through the four
times champions, unless a great spell would
have been casted by them. Talking about
great spells,Mitchell Starc and Josh
Hazlewood were the spell-masters from the

Australian side,2-40 and 4-35 in ten overs

each respectively.
Australia,being confident of becoming the
victors,played a few careless shots
themselves which resulted in the loss of early
wickets of David Warner and Aaron Finch, who
were expected to give a ripping performance.
Nonetheless,Steven Smith(sixty five runs)
and Shane Watson(sixty four runs) took an
amazing stand to score eighty runs in
partnership, which raised the bars of hope for
their teammates. The fall of Smith's wicket
got the low-runners pacing again and made a
mirage of victory in the eyes of the
Pakistanis,which in-return made them a bit
casual and free-minded. Glenn
Maxwell, pulled it off with a spectacular strike
rate of 151.72 and closed all the doors for the
opponents to get into the semi finals of this
game-changing Worldcup.
After a great defeat at the Tri-series, India
must be devastated to see Australia in the
semis. However, it is all about channelising
the negativity and fear into mind-boggling
innings of success & pride. India is pumped
up with seven consecutive wins in this
tournament so it would be wrong to make a
guess about which team has it to reach the
top,but the fact remains the better team

would see glory touching their feet while the

other might just slip off it.
Article 6:NEW ZEALAND Vs WEST INDIES(QUARTER
FINAL 4-ICC WC 2015)

Just when viewers felt that this was a low

scoring Worldcup,New Zealand smashed all
such suspicions held. Saturday was marked
by great Cricket as New Zealand did not just
advance into the semi's by conquering West
Indies but it also shook other teams, who are
dreading to face them soon.
The Kiwi's batted first with Martin Guptill and
Brendon McCullum as the openers. With the
highest runs scored in ICC Worldcup
2015,Guptill was applauded by the whole
stadium including the away fans. Being
persistent with his rooted and anchored
innings,Martin scored two hundred and thirty
seven with an unthinkable strike rate of
145.4,not out. Ross Taylor followed his
footsteps and added on some crucial forty
two runs until he was run-out by Ramdin.
Four wickets in-hand,New Zealand scored
three hundred and ninety three runs, the
highest runs scored in the quarters and
second highest throughout the
Worldcup,after Australia who scored four
hundred and fifteen against Afghanistan.
West Indies left-arm orthodox spin
bowler,Suleiman Benn, took three wickets
with a fiery spell and a good economy rate
but the other bowlers were picked upon one
by one & were proved costly against the

indestructible team of the Kiwis.

Chris Gayle, after his stunning double century
in this Worldcup(two hundred and fifteen
runs),being the first to score in this
Worldcup, came along with Johnson Charles to
open from the Caribbean side to show-off
their skills and score as much as possible,in
the least of balls. Although the intention was
to score some more, wickets fell like leaves
from tree in the season of fall. The only
reason why the Kiwis were getting in a lather
was because Gayle survived each time, even
after three opportunities given to them of
catch-outs. Formidable Gayle left the ground
in a span of a few overs at sixty one runs
with 184.8 as his unremarkable strike rate.
Jason Holder scored forty two runs with a
decent strike rate of 161.5 and added a few
necessary runs to his team's total. As soon as
these two batsmen were eliminated,West
Indies was at a bad state & the Kiwis
wrapped it up at two hundred and fifty in
30.3 overs. Trent Boult took four massive
wickets,Tim Southee and Daniel Vettori took
two each and lead their team win by a huge
margin of one hundred and forty three runs.
South Africa is going to meet New Zealand in
the semi final on the 26 of March,2015. They
better have their A-game on in order to

compete with a Herculean team of the

flapping & slapping Kiwis.
Article 7:MANCHESTER UNITED Vs LIVERPOOL

Manchester United, with a mediocre record of

winning away games,adds a victory to it's
record against their rivals,Liverpool. There
are just a few teams like West Ham United
who are as close to Manchester United with
the charts beeping in red light signifying the
low win rate at away grounds. No
wonder, today's game at Anfield was nerveracking for most of the United supporters.
Juan Mata,a brilliant performer of classy
finishings to his shots in the Barclay's
Premiere League, proved to be handy even
today. He scored an early, sweeping goal by
gently receiving a through-ball between four
Liverpool players. The far-post finesse and
the kick-to-the-corner-flag celebration by
Mata on the 14th minute of the game
electrified the crowd with melodious cheering
for their team.
The first half was calm, calm before the storm
hit in. Steven Gerrard came roaring-in with a
frustrated body language and made a
reckless challenge with a clear stamp on
Ander Herrera, within forty six seconds of the
second half and he was red carded for the
same.
With one-man-down,Liverpool's aggression
went on,so did the game. United took this
great opportunity of dismissal of Gerrard and

called upon a substitution of Ashley Young by

none other than the Argentine,Di Maria. At
the 59th minute, the Argentinian proved his
worth by a marvellous through-lob pass
towards Mata, who in-return made no mistake
in converting a beautiful ball like that into an
eye-catching,scissor-kicked goal.
This rivalry took a great turn when Daniel
Sturridge, one of the best players in this
league,scored a galloping goal on the 69th
minute. With many more chances being
created and an offensive gameplay being
witnessed, what was going to happen next
was simply unpredictable.
Manchester United got a chance to triple the
score from that of Liverpool's after Emre Can
fouled Daley Blind & United won a penalty.
The game became more dramatic after
Rooney missing the penalty. It didn't prove to
be that costly as the game ended with United
being the vanquishers.

Article 8:BARCELONA Vs REAL MADRID( EL CLASICO)

The much awaited El Clasico resulted with a

bang for the away fans as Barcelona took it
away from Madrid, with a score of 2-1,at their
home ground Nou Camp,on Sunday evening.
Suarez scored his first El Clasico goal in the
56th minute, which was the winning goal for
Barcelona as well as an important ascendent
in the points table. Barcelona is leading with
four points ahead of Madrid,in the charts
after this last meeting of the eternal rivals.
This win could probably be a crucial win for
the race of the Spanish La Liga title.
Th first half was under Madrid's control, with
immense pressure building from their side on
the home team. However, the opening goal
by Jeremy Mathieu in the 19th minute, with a
header past Iker Casillas, did get Madrid's
heart racing as the home crowd started
booing at every touch by their most beloved
player,Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo, just managed to score the
equilizer for Madrid,right before half-time.
The superb back-heel assist from Benzema
was credited more than the goal contributed
by Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Bale are always
under the limelight,although Benzema is
usually the unsung hero of this team, with
various such marvellous assists and goals
too.

Luis Suarez came out as the saviour for his

team and he is proved to be a good &
successful buy on the transfer sheets for
Barcelona, especially after scoring in the most
climacteric match of the Spanish league. 'It
means a lot to have scored against Madrid &
it is the most important goal of my career as
of now', he said. It was a jaw-dropping sprint
from Suarez to get across the closing-in
defenders,Sergio Ramos and Pepe. He made
a decent amount of space which resulted in a
well-struck shot at the far corner, rifled ahead
of the goalkeeper,Casillas.
The game looked to be slipping away from
Barcelona in the first half. 'Goal by Ronaldo
calmed us down and we started working on
our regular game of maintaining high
possession,ground passing and in the
end,creating chances',as said by Luis
Enrique,triumphant Barca's coach.
Gareth Bale thought he had scored from a
perfectly timed flicked-header from
Ronaldo, just when their hopes were crushed
by the raised offside flag against the
Portuguese.
There were more thrashing goals expected
from Barcelona,Neymar missed both the
opportunities and the desperately needed
third goal seemed far-fetched.

'The league is more competitive now and to

be victorious,we had to play the whole of 90
minutes just like we did in the first half,'
Madrid's coach,Ancelotti added.
Real Madrid's head is down burdened with
the shame of defeat after the previous
Clasico's victory but with ten games
remaining for both the splendid teams, the
race for the title continues & the winner
remains a mystery.

Article 9:SOUTH AFRICA Vs NEW ZEALAND (SEMIFINAL 1- ICC WC)

A rainy day at the field and a stunningly

sunny day for the Kiwis as they have
qualified for the first time in history in the
Worldcup finals against a charming team of
fine cricketers,South Africa.
New Zealand's winning streak continues with
a eighth game consecutive win even though
the match had been suspended and cut-short
to forty three overs, due to rainfall.
Chasing two hundred and ninety seven off
two hundred and fifty eight balls seemed like
a decent score from the Africans to get
themselves in the finals. The Kiwis did not
disappoint their fans and qualified, not just in
the tournament but within the hearts of the
spectators as well.
South Africa batted first and created a burst
of cries from their supporters with two early
wickets of Hashim Amla and De Kock. Du
Plessis came in next and pulled off an outstanding inning with eighty two runs off
hundred and seven balls. AB de Villiers
scored sixty five from forty five balls and
swooped the run-rate. David Miller had an
inconceivable strike rate of 272.2,with forty
nine runs in the last seven overs.
With a loss of just five wickets,South Africa
put up a great show for the Kiwis to become
the show-stoppers. CJ Anderson and T Bolt

took three and two wickets respectively,to

slow down the striding run-rate of the
Africans. Although Anderson spelled
brilliantly, South Africa was vengeful in his
over and gave him a poor bowling economy
of 12.
Grant Elliot was the man of the match with
eighty four runs off seventy three balls, not
out. The last winning-blow was struck for a
six by Elliot when five runs were needed off
two balls. With McCullum opening for the
Kiwis,a lot had gone down for the Africans
mentality, just when he managed to damage
them physically by a mind-blowing strike rate
of 226.9 with fifty nine runs. Corey Anderson
contributed with an incredible fifty eight off
fifty seven balls and helped in building a
lacking partnership,with none other than
Elliot himself.
Morne Morkel had a treacherous spell with
three wickets added to his team's efforts to
take it away. Dale Steyn and Duminy took
one and two wickets respectively,at a cost of
being expensive.
Nevertheless, it was a fantastic semi-final
and the Kiwis are pepped up to meet the next
set of contenders, either Australia or India, for
the finals of ICC Worldcup 2015.

Article 10:AUSTRALIA Vs INDIA(SEMI FINAL 2-ICC WC)

The first defeat of the Indians at the ICC

Worldcup 2015 marked by none other than
the Australians has ended a wild streak of
seven wins for India.
Australia won the toss and chose to batas
would India do,when asked to the captain,MS
Dhoni. Being a thrilling sportsman he took
the challenge of bowling as India stood high
with a great ranking of bowlers who would
settle for nothing but ten wickets.
Aaron Finch and David Warner were the
openers for Australia. The game seemed to
be moving in a slow rhythm and it
unexpectedly turned into a turtle race with
an early wicket of Warner. Next up was
Steven Smith, who gathered the courage of
taking Warner's dismissal in the positive
direction & came out as the biggest
contribution for Australia in gloriously
winning it to the finals. With a smooth and
steady yet effective partnership with Finch of
one hundred and eighty two runs, the extra
boost to the turtles was given and it reached
an acceleration of matching upto the number
of balls. Two hundred runs were on the board
for Australia and many more talented
cricketers were left to dutch in their efforts.
Mitchell Johnson, out of all the others was a
survivor who swung his bat like never before

& pulled off a fast twenty seven off just nine

balls with an unremarkable strike rate of 300.
At the end of the first innings,Australia put up
a great score of three hundred and twenty
eight, the highest India had ever chased in
this worldcup.
Umesh Yadav & Mohit Sharma walked handsin-hand as both of them took
spectacular,much needed four and two
wickets respectively,at the cost of giving the
maximum runs and proving themselves to
have been costlier than the booming rates of
petroleum,in terms of their bowling
economy.
There was not a single difference in the
batting line-up for the Indians, with Rohit
Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan opening. Both
played remarkably well and constructed the
first pillar of a required partnership of
seventy six runs. The pillar cracked open
when Dhawan was caught-out at forty five
runs. Virat Kohli's presence was undoubtedly
worse than his absence in today's game as
he missed a crucial catch and managed to
score a single run after disposing over two
essential overs. Ajinkya Rahane & MS Dhoni
tried to stir their sinking ship towards the
closest safe zone that was to reconstruct a
partnership and unfortunately it was the last

of decent batting seen in their innings, with

Rahane caught-out at forty four and Dhoni
run-out at sixty five, the highest an individual
scored from India.
Today's match was indeed a rare sight
witnessed throughout the tournament as it
was the first time India could not take ten
wickets of the opponents, the first time India
was all out and the very first time they lost in
this Worldcup. It was expected though as
Australia had not given them a single chance
to gather control even in the Tri-series played
before the Worldcup nor did they let them
win two out of four test matches easily.
However,it will be one heck of a final with the
Kiwis and the Aussies fighting in their own
zones & partly sharing the worthy home
ground morale as they meet in the much
awaited finals on the 29th March,at MCG.

Article 11:ARSENAL Vs LIVERPOOL(BPL)

With a week of rest for the players and

restlessness for the fans, this weekend had
it's own perks with the kick-off of the
remaining premiere league matches. Arsenal
whooped through the match on their home
ground against Liverpool,with a 4-1 win.
The match was a fast-paced one with several
attacks from both the ends, with possessions
changing and curiosity building with
stupendous attacks in the first thirty five
minutes of the match. Sterling and Coutinho
missed one goal-scoring opportunity each in
the early phases of the match. Never did
they know that their misses could have been
so crucial for the whole team.
Starting from the 37th minute right upto the
end of the first half, the dynamics of football
were witnessed by the home supporters to
hoot as loud as they could. In a span of just
eight minutes,Liverpool was down by a
quotient of three goals which were
immensely struck that fulfilled two major
aspects of a wonderful goal,accuracy &
power. At the 37th minute,Bellerin broke the
Emirates deadlock for the Gunners, cutting in
from his right-hand side and scoring from his
left-foot. Four minutes after their first,Ozil
doubled the score from 25yards,with a freekick that went curling away from the

defensive wall, into the nets for a goal.

Sanchez went on to score the third right
before half-time by smashing a drive over the
keeper's head.
The second half began with a much needed
substitution from Liverpool,Daniel
Sturridge,in the hope to ignite the flame for
the darkened tunnels of Liverpool. Appealed
fouls by the visitors and the one-touch
passes from the home team shook heads all
the way and spiced up the match.
Sturridge's efforts were not responded well
by his team mates and were left in the mere
dream of being rewarded as various
opportunities created by this trickster were
wasted. Liverpool won a penalty on the 76th
minute, with Henderson luckily taking the first
goal to his name as the keeper managed to
dive in the right direction but mistimed his
leap for the save. This glimmered the leftover
hopes of the visitors which were eventually
shattered by the dismissal of Emre Can after
being yellow carded for the second time. The
curse of being red carded was assisted with
more misfortune of another goal by the
Gunners,Giroud being the man to wrap it up
in style on the 90 +1 minute of the game.
The Gunners have moved up to the second
position on the premiere league table leaving

Manchester City behind by two points

whereas Liverpool remains on the fifth spot
with a marginal gap from the top four teams
on the chart.
