children and staff. We praise the
Lord for what we heard.

It is amaz

remind us of Christ if we will take a
moment to think. Isn't it wonderful

that our Lord never forgets?

We praise the Lord that several
children have accepted Christ as
their Savior and been baptized!

We have just finished a wonderful
Christmas! Through the generous
gifts from so many of you we were
able to buy new gifts of clothes and
a toy for each child. One church sent
stuffed stockings for all the children Vvhat a surprise and joy that was for
the kids, as we have never done
anything like that before! Our won
derful

Christmas dinner was also

made possible through many who

sent extra funds for this special
celebration. Baking cookies and
making popcorn balls are the two

things the children wait for all year if we don't bake and make popcorn
balls then we haven't had Christmas!

We baked (it seems) thousands of

cookies, giving many away and eat

Wedding bells rang in November
when our own Joceiyn Ogues, who
has lived with us since age six, was

In Solano, the Satellite Home has
received one new child. Joed, 6
mo., came malnourished and cov
ered with sores. His mother, who
has other children in Mindanao and

needs to go care for them, decided

to place Joed where he could get
help and be adopted into a family
who can truly care for him. Ariel,
who has lived in the Satellite Home

since he was a baby, went home to

live with his grandmother.
The
home misses him, but are happy he
can be with his family.
Elena Kimmayong, who has lived
with us for 16 years, went home to
live with her relatives.

Elena came

to us at age 10 and was like a wild

animal. Suffering from brain dam
age, she had been just "existing"

grandchildren.

Our water pump for our well has

broken down. We were hauling
water from the well to the Home for

a while, but now have a small tem

porary pump doing the job until we

can replace the old one.
if we
bought a new pump here it would
cost $1700, but God has seen our
need and provided for us once
again. A business in Grants Pass,
Oregon has sold us a new pump at
their cost!

This will save us an in

credible amount of money. We are

very grateful to this company for
their generosity! We pray God will
bless them richly as they have
blessed us. If you would like to send
special funds toward the cost of the
new pump it would be accepted with
much gratitude.

did not enjoy school before. We are
also pleased to see his spiritual
growth as well. Thank you to all of
you who are praying for him, and for
those helping us meet the financial
needs so he is able to attend this

school.
Bert is now studying to
pass his Master's course. He should
be finished by the end of March.
Thank you to those who have

To our Dear Friends,

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us

his name. And do not forget to do
good and to share with others, for
with such sacrifice God is pieased."

make up for lost time. Also pray for
them in their teen-age years.

Her doctor was again very pleased.

How wonderful to be His

children, under His care, and In His

family. Through Jesus we have all

become His children.

We praise

Him for all of you who "do good and

share" with us so we can share with
others.

What a wonderful furlough we had!

Even though It is hard to be away

In the last six months Ofelia has

grown 2 inches and gained 11 lbs!

Her next appointment will be in Feb
ruary 2000.
Again, we will be
needing funds to purchase airfare
tickets. Pray with us for the Lord's
provision.

Please continue to hold the children

up in prayer. No matter where we

live, Satan is busy at work trying to
discourage and destroy!
We have suspended work on the
school building while we accumu
late more funds, but still hope to

have it completed in the spring of

next year. Our thanks to all who
have had a part in accomplishing the
construction of this building.
The
walls are up, the roof finished, and
some of the steel window frames are

in.

We still have finishing work to

do; electrical, plumbing, doors, the

rest of the window frames,

Three new children have joined our
