2015 SUM M ER INTERNSHIP

JUNE 2, 2015 - JULY 31, 2015

DHD Films is looking for talented, creative individuals to join our award-wining video production
team as Summer Interns. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the production
industry and will seek to learn more about the industry, as well as gain experience in graphic
design, advertising, communications and marketing. The Summer Internship Program will run for
nine consecutive weeks, with one week off for vacation.
DHD Films offers an exciting Internship Program providing current students and recent
graduates from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in
the production industry. Each Intern will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and
to apply their educational and technical knowledge to real client projects.

PROGRAM LOCATION
The Summer Internship will take place at the DHD Films Studio located in the burgeoning Dallas Design
District located at:
2500 FARRINGTON STREET, SUITE 120
DALLAS, TEXAS 75207

Interns may be required to complete work at various off-site locations to be determined at the discretion of
the Internship Manager.

COMPENSATION
Interns will receive a $750 stipend upon the successful completion of the Internship Program. School credit
will be available upon request in lieu of the stipend. Parking will be available at no cost to the Intern.
Interns will have the opportunity to receive performance-based bonuses at the discretion of the Internship
Manager.


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Hiring decisions are based upon an applicants completed application, past work / internship experience,
major field of study, references or any life and extracurricular activities. Ideal candidates will be wellrounded, hardworking, self-motivated, enthusiastic and will bring a unique perspective to the table.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for a DHD Films Internship:

Proper work authorization to be employed within the United States


Have a strong interest in the production industry
Must be highly creative, detail-oriented, self-motivated, a fast learner, an analytical thinker
and a collaborative team player
Undergraduate (Junior or higher) and Graduate (MBA, MFA, JD, etc.) students currently
enrolled and in good standing at an accredited educational institution
Graduate students must have completed their first year before the start of the Internship
Program
Recent graduates one year or less removed are eligible to apply
Studies in any of the following: Advertising; Animation; Business; Business Analytics;
Communications; Digital Arts & Design; Journalism; Film and Media Studies; Graphic Design;
Marketing; Public Relations; Radio; Television; Video Production; and Web Design
Must be able to work at least 20 hours each week

While each Intern is required to meet the above criteria, certain Internship positions may have additional
qualifications to be fulfilled. Please read the Internship descriptions carefully to determine what is required
for the Internship for which you are applying.


GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
DESCRIPTION: The Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for working alongside DHD Films in-house

creatives to create collateral for client projects, as well as collateral to aid in the companys multi-faceted
communications and marketing initiatives for external audiences. Some tasks may include, but are not
limited to: the creation of print advertisements, digital signage, event flyers, lower third graphics and more.
Additionally, the Graphic Design Intern may be asked to complete a variety of tasks as defined by the
Internship Manager. The successful candidate will share DHD Films commitment to providing exceptional,
high-quality visual communications that drive each clients story forward.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Mac/PC proficient
Ability to create intelligent, innovative design solutions for print, web and digital audiences
Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Creative Cloud including After Effects,
Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere
Competence to translate high-level concepts into tangible designs
Solid interpersonal skills to work as part of a project team and foster collaboration
Capacity to create under pressure and with tight deadlines
Must possess a passion for design and creativity
Facility to take, internalize and implement constructive feedback
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communications skills
Previous work experience in an office environment (media industry a plus)

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Communications Intern will be responsible for working alongside DHD

Films in-house marketing team. The Marketing Communications Intern will assist in marketing projects as
needed, including, but not limited to, creating reports and compiling industry analysis. The Marketing
Communications Intern must understand complex analytics in an effort to gain insight into the business,
while translating that data into relevant information for internal decision makers. Ultimately, the Marketing
Communications Intern will be adept at combining his or her creativity with tangible data to produce
marketing tasks and initiatives.
Additionally, the Marketing Communications Intern may be asked to complete a variety of tasks as defined
by the Internship Manager. The successful candidate will share DHD Films desire to use marketing
communications as a tool to fuel business growth and development.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Mac/PC proficient
Ability to translate high-level concepts into tangible results
Expertise and specialized skills in business intelligence and data analytics
Capacity to create under pressure and with tight deadlines
Strong planning and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a high attention to detail
Basic WordPress and HTML knowledge
Experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Apple Keynote
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Competence to create original content such as blogs, press releases, media alerts, social media
posts, thought leadership and more
Working knowledge of social media trends and applications including Facebook, Google+,
LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube
Previous work experience in an office environment (media industry a plus)
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Facility to take, internalize and implement constructive feedback
Solid interpersonal skills to work as part of a project team and foster collaboration
Experience in Google AdWords (PPC) and Google Analytics
