Choose two words that relate to your personal definition of power and privilege. Write a
description of each of these words and how they relate to power or privilege within your
learning experience.
Then, take one of your classmates words and compare and contrast it within your
definition of power and privilege. Are your words similar? How is their approach different than
yours? In what way do you see your definition change as you continue to notice privilege and
power in other areas of your life?

Post-Service Multimedia
Overview:
A post-service multi-media project allows for your reflection and experiences to be
highlighted through images. By constructing a visual, students can show others what power and
privilege means to them as well as develop a different dimension of their critical thinking of its
complexity.
In this Presentation you will:
gather images that reflect your experience with power and privilege this semester.
apply a learning progression through images of how your definition of power and
privilege has changed over the semester.
Reflect on the progression of your understanding of power and privilege and name what
moments in the semester challenged your idea of power and privilege.

from your learning experience, images that reflect on what power and privilege mean to you,
and words that communicate your conception of this theme. Arrange the images so they reflect
your critical thinking progression; how has your idea of power and privilege changed over time?
