Study Might Be the Hardest Phase of Life, but Makes the Rest of Phases Sweet
It was a snowy mid-night, and Hassan was finishing his chapter work for the next
days Chemistry112 exam. Since it was the first final exam in his first semester, he was a bit
nervous about it and also he was determined to score well. He was almost to finish his
preparation, and he was in his last page of the chapter readings when his roommate was
pestering him to sleep finally. When he was just checking out the content, for he was stuck
shock just like electric current as he saw one more chapter readings which he skipped by
mistake. Then he replied to his roommate, I would rather finish my remaining content than
to get an hour of extra sleep. Even though the clock was turning almost 3 a.m., he didnt
care about that and started to read the chapter which he skipped just like a scanning machine.
It was such an ambience that the only sound which could be heard was the sound of turning
pages, and also the page was not turning properly as his hands were shaky due to
nervousness, so he licks his fingers to help himself to turn pages with ease.
Interviewing Hassan showed me the importance of studies, exams and the role it
plays in our future life. His words made me realize the existence of education in everyones
life. Not everyone in this world gets the best education, and those who get it might not realize
its importance and value. As Hassan told me, Go out to streets and see the people who are
eagerly expecting for a chance to study and learn, and on the other hands, for we who
celebrate our weekends by just playing video games, watching T.V shows just because it is a
weekend. I felt ashamed by heart of myself and other of my friends who pass the weekend in
the same manner. I was able to understand that there are huge number of people who sacrifice

Raju 2
their food, clothes, and even house just for studies. Hassan made me feel the urge to study
well and earn a better livelihood.
Hassan is a very hardworking and study oriented person. By all the conversation I had
with him showed me the importance of studies and also exams, but by his stylish and
handsome look I wanted to ask him about the money he spends on styling and how much he
care about his looks. Surprisingly, his reply was, I make sure I always look handsome and
fair, but I dont spend much on those. I came to know that he makes him look good with the
available resources he has, for example when he takes bath he makes sure he styles his hair a
bit using water itself. He also have a good physique and a well seen personality with clean
shaved face. And so I asked him about his workout plans and routines, he replied, The old
school training/workout always shows up result, that too at home. The primary motive for
this was not to waste time in travelling to gym and handle the gym kit by which the people
usually change their clothes and accessories. He also wears specs and had few acnes in and
around the cheeks which makes him look as a nerd or a studious person. He most of the time
or many of the time wears a shirt and a jeans as clothing options.
He was always talking about the urge of those people who are not in the condition to
pay the fees and study, so it made me ask about his family background. And I got an expected
answer from him. The family consisting of 5 members including him and a highly educated
working father, and a housewife mom, a sister and a brother. He was born in Syria, Lebanon
where his family lived there for 3 years and then shifted to Saudi Arabia. His father, who is
now working as a chemical engineer now, but went through a very rough and tough hardship
during his education to pursue his degree. And he succeeded with a lot of effort in his study
areas and achieved the goal. So, Hassan made sure to follow his fathers footsteps to settle
down peacefully later in life. After all every father is a hero to his daughter/son. He also
mentioned, It is better to work hard to study now, rather working hard to earn later, and

Raju 3
added, few years of hard work will pay life long. I was very much impressed by this
sentence as it shows the accuracy of his aim towards the life, his goal was bang on target.
He was also stressing on the burden he has on his shoulder, that his father is already in
late forties and he has 2 more younger sibling, and he wants to make sure that their path of
life also goes on smoothly. He does not want to allow them to trod all alone. I also found out
by his talk that, he himself put on the burden on his shoulder and no one forced him to take
such a responsibility. This shows how responsible he is towards his family and obviously
towards his own life.
This interview with Hassan made me think out of box. As it was also the first
interview in my life composed by me for someone else. And so, it should automatically have
a great impact on me and also had an expected amount of impact. Throughout the interview,
wherever the question was put forward, but Hassan made sure that the answers bounced back
on studies. I have never seen such a boy of 17-year old, to get so much oriented/directed
towards studies. He was totally tilted towards his goals that is settling peacefully in life
without any ups and downs. He wants a smooth life which do not give a sudden/impact load
in his present, and future. He had the remote for his life- not everyone has it, and he controls
accordingly, where he wants to launch and where he wants to land. He knows his destination
of landing as he has a precise goal setting. All the time I listened was about the importance of
studies and he doesnt want to misuse his chance of flourishing in life with the help of
studies. Thus, the bottom line of the interview is; go through whatever level of hardship for
studies, but that is the only factor which will place us in greater heights later in life and will
make it sweet and simple. And also, if few years of hardworking is responsible to enjoy and
settle for many years later in life then its worth it.

The Exponential Increase Research On
CNG Technology: The Emissions of Gasoline Engines
The world is moving so fast that there is no time to think about the earth itself. In this
fast moving world people also want to move faster by fast moving/running vehicles. So, they
are bound with their own schedules and routine and may be not in the position to think about
the consequences of those fast moving vehicles. People are often worried about their own life
rather than the life of earth where they live in. They might not be aware of the consequences
of these so called fast moving vehicles on the life of earth. The use of such vehicles must be
reduced gradually as the emissions of those fuels that these vehicles consume exert a false
pressure on the earths atmosphere. The ozone layer is getting depleted by the Green House
Gases (GHG) released by those vehicles as an exhaust, and because of that the other layers of
atmosphere also started depleting. This is the current scenario of our earths health. The use
of those vehicles on day to day basis may lead to disastrous damage of earths atmosphere,
and the vehicles which consume CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) or LCG (Liquid
Compressed Gas) doesnt emit high percentage of GHGs. The use of CNG adaptable vehicles
can reduce almost half of fuel cost on an average, for this everyone would try to respond to
the current situation then. It is highly important to know the pollution rate caused by the
emissions of GHGs by vehicles which use fuels like petroleum, gasoline, and even diesel and
that with vehicles running on CNG fuels. It is also important to be aware of the
environmental and emission benefits of natural gas, and as well as the use of CNG based
vehicles in role of pollution control.

Raju 5
The increasing number of petroleum or gasoline based vehicles due to increasing
population and economic status results in increased amount of emissions of GHGs. The U.S.
Department of Energy states that, Natural gas emits approximately 6%-11% lower levels of
GHGs than gasoline throughout the fuel life cycle (par. 4). This means that most of the
vehicles that we use require petroleum or gasoline as fuel which causes the emission of
GHGs and these emit GHGs at very greater rate than vehicle which runs on CNG or LNG
(Liquid Natural Gas). These GHGs are very harmful pollutant to the environment as well as
the people in and around the environment. Again all these indirectly explain the ratio of rate
of pollution caused by the usual fuels like petroleum and gasoline versus CNG and LNG.
Another example why CNGs and LNGs emit lower percentage of GHGs than petroleum and
gasoline is thats what NGV (Natural Gas Vehicle) America explains, the carbon content in
CNGs and LNGs is pretty low whereas on the other hand fossil fuels consists of high
amount of carbon which implies that fossil fuels can release more carbon di-oxide on burning
(par. 5). And this is a very large figure when the total numbers of vehicle are taken into the
count. This is pollution rate is more than enough to deplete the ozone layer. Thus it is high
time to know about the pollution rate in the current scene.
There comes out to be many environmental and emission benefits when we start using
natural gas as a fuel rather than fossil fuels. According to NVG America, any form of natural
gas can act as the best alternative transportation fuel which has the cleanest burning
process. It could fairly reduce the economic cost of fuel in almost all kind of vehicles. It is
also proven that its use always leads to the betterment of local air quality by reducing the
percentage of released GHGs in the environment (par. 1). Natural gas has so many positive
features for which it can be considered as the alternative fuel for vehicles. It doesnt release
any major bi-products on burning it because it is a low carbon content fuel. Natural gas
resource is available in very huge amount, and thus its economic cost is comparatively low.

Raju 6
Not only that, it has also got many emission benefits as compared to other fossil fuels. As per
Abdullah Yasar, et al., research on emissions between different engines tells that, CNG
engines emitted 14 and 3 times lower HC (Hydro Carbon) emissions as compared to diesel
and gasoline engines. The CNG engine also produced 5 times lower SO2 (Sulphur DiOxide) as compared to diesel engine. The CNG also proved to emit CO (Carbon Monooxide ) almost 2 times less than the gasoline engine both heavy and light duty that we use on
regular basis (1279-80). Thus, we can see that CNG engines release very few amount of any
kind of harmful gases especially CO. CO is also responsible for brain death and partial
paralysis on trace amounts and leads to death of higher amounts when inhaled by us.
Although CO released by our day to day vehicles has such a harmful effect on us not
everyone is influenced by the goodness of CNG engine vehicles. The awareness of these
emission and environmental benefits is very important of every human being living in this
world to know in order to improve the existing atmospheres condition.
The use of CNG based vehicles as an alternative for petroleum and gasoline based
vehicles plays a crucial role in pollution control. According to Seungju Yoon, et al. results,
CNG vehicles when developed with some additives such as TWC (Three-Way Catalysts) to
the engines and then made to work with the help of stoichiometric engines showed that the
pollution can be controlled drastically. The emissions of harmful gases such as NO (Nitrogen
Oxide) can be effectively controlled (929). NOs are also one of the harmful gases that gets
emitted in environment by petroleum and gasoline based vehicles in very large quantity. This
control emission of NOs will definitely reduce the scale of harmful gases in plotted graph of
pollution. The NO which comes from the emission gets mixed with oxygen in environment
and forms NOs leading to the increased pollution rate. Thus by controlled emission of NO
will lead to the

pollution to a great extent. Another proof for pollution control by CNG

based vehicles is in the research of Abdullah Yasar, et al., which states that, It is evident that

Raju 7
the concentration of most of the pollutants showed a significant decrease after switching of
heavy, medium, and light diesel and gasoline vehicle engines to CNG fuel (1280). This tells
us that by even making gasoline and petroleum based vehicles engine run by CNG fuels
makes a huge difference in pollution control as it can have significant effect on emission of
pollutants. Thus, if CNG is used in a vehicle in any form instead of petroleum and gasoline
will reduce the rate of pollutants and harmful gases emissions in the graph of pollution
control.
The condition of earths atmosphere will be getting depleted in a rapid rate than
expected if the facts and figures mentioned goes hand in hand. The use of any kind of
renewable energy which is also falls under sustainable use of resources or any kind of ecofriendly fuels can decrease the pollution rate to an unimaginable extent. One such use is CNG
fuels. Earths atmosphere is like a nostril of a human. The earths atmosphere is accumulated
with harmful gases just like nostril congested with mucous. Thus the use of CNG based
vehicles acts as the nose spray and clears out the harmful gases for instant betterment on
temporary use, but in a long run it can clear out all the harmful gases accumulated in the
atmosphere. To avoid the depletion of ozone layer as well as for the betterment of earths
atmosphere, the first step is to know the current condition of earths atmosphere and the
reason behind its worse condition that is the pollution caused by the fuels like petroleum and
gasoline, and the further steps are to also know the role of use of CNG in pollution control
and its emission benefits which thus makes the earths atmosphere clean filled with no
harmful gases and making earth the place to breath fresh oxygen peacefully.

My dear dearest father,
You made me realize the heat of reality, and showed me how to reach the pinnacle of
success just by the qualities of dedication, sincerity, hard-work rather with money, status, and
recommendations. I am writing this letter to you to avow that you were my role model and
still being my role model for life. I am going to say how deep I was influenced by the way
you trod

the path of life and how your actions made me think towards life; the

definition of personality set by you. And also, you induced the confidence and self-respect in
me and made me realize that there is no need to see the mirror to see for oneself rather ones
image can be seen by their actions. I hope to accomplish to tell the importance of you in my
career, goal setting, and holding responsibility and after all the whole life by writing this
letter. You are not only my super-hero but also my all-time role model more as a personality
rather as a father.
I always tried to hold at least half of works you did when you were at my age. But I
enormously lacked in working hard like you. You were just being the hard of hard workers. I
still remember the words told by your mother, He used to study a lot even in the age when
boys think to go party and have fun, but just because he wanted to reach his goal, he never
used to indulge in such activities. He was such a hard-working person that he can even
sacrifice his food if he is not done with his chapters. Once I have also seen him studying day
and night for some entrance exams without proper food. To be very honest I could not even

Raju 10
think about that now. Few people fail after taking same work to do, but I failed even to think
in this way. And another face of you which I have heard from your college mates that you
also used to do part time job apart from studies for paying for your books and not only for
few hours, but for long hours which can even be called as full-time. As I have already told
you I even fail to think that way. I can see that you were outstandingly hard-working which
can be considered just like a 100% efficiency of mechanical engine.
Another influential factor is your skills in studies and the extent of studiousness. You
secured gold medal in physics in your college days. I know that this is not at all easy as
during your generation the education level was very hard. And also, it was almost impossible
to get awarded by a gold medal before the graduation which you did during your
undergraduate. I also was astonished by your studying skills as I know how burdensome it is
to work as well as to secure good score which you did it with excellence. You also stood 1st in
school and 3rd in district in your school. This was mind blowing as to be achieved by studying
from the school you attended which didnt even have proper educational facilities, teachers,
infrastructures, quality of teaching and many more. And during you generational times you
also worked in home helping your mother in household cleaning activities, and helping your
father in his job of testing lenses whenever he asked you to do so which you also finished all
those for him without even asking a question back. This looks like a slavery from broader
view, but it is out of affection and responsibility which I can see in you even after earning a
good income. Even though you are in a good position now you never stop studying and
continue to study whatever the subject is but still want to gain knowledge. This shows the
extent of studiousness in you which reflects in your character, and attitude.
Last but not the least, you were also a perfectionist in fulfilling your role as a student,
as a worker, and also as one of the best family member both as a sibling and as a son. You
never used to skip classes. Even though you get tired so much and mental pressures and

Raju 11
burden to uphold the family, you never skip classes. That is really very difficult to manage to
attend all classes. I sometimes skip classes just because I dont feel like attending. But you
were amazing on that aspect. You were also an excellent worker as far as a student is
concerned. You worked overtime all the time and finished the left off job in the working area.
Students who work as a part-timer usually do not try to finish the left off work rather they just
work for their working hours, but you worked until you got finished with that work even in
holidays. You didnt even think to take rest. I also came to know that, although you didnt
earn more, but still you were sending some money through post to your home for your family
members for their welfare rather spending money on clothes, food. It is something called
extravagant as nowadays students not only get money from their parents for their fees but
also get money from their parents for their pocket money. And so it really unbelievable that
you used to send money to your home while you were a student. Thus, you were fulfilling
every part of your different kinds of role.
You have been so immensely successful in your career and also in personal life, for
now I got to go as its times up for my day. That is all I wanted to tell you from the bottom of
my heart that is the extent of which your life influenced my life and my thoughts towards life.
Although that is all to tell you for now, I will definitely write frequently to you whenever I
get time after my prelims. So, my beloved father, see you soon, take care, and miss you a lot.
Yours lovingly,
Vomsheendhur Raju
