Situationer
 The growth of Cooperatives in the country
will slow down and about a half of these
cooperatives will experience financial
problems.

Of the 28,000 cooperatives in the country,

one-half or 14,000, will possibly be
dissolved.
 Conti blamed these to the lack of
education and training and that there are
very few cooperatives in production
business.

Production is low since the country is

heavily dependent on imports resulting to
poor buying power.
 Records of CDA shows that
85% of cooperatives are in
lending business (savings
and loans).
