    Myvisitisacontinuationofourfrequentexchangesatthehighestlevel.

    ItisareflectionofthestrongfraternaltiesbetweenthepeoplesofPakistanandTajikistanwhichhavebeennourishedbythecenturiesold
    historicalandculturallinkagesandlinguisticaffinities.

    MyvisitisalsoamanifestationofourstrongdesiretofurtherdeepenandbroadenbilateralrelationswithTajikistan,asanintegralpartofour
    visiontocomprehensivelyenhancePakistansengagementwithCentralAsia.

    Today,wehadwiderangingconsultationscoveringawholespectrumofbilateral,regionalandinternationalissues.

    Wereviewedourexcellentpoliticalrelationsandagreedthatthereisavastpotentialtobeharnessedformutuallybeneficialcollaborationin
    manyfields.

    Ourbilateraltradehasgrownsignificantlyinrecentyears.Throughmutualefforts,itcanbesustainedandfurtherincreased.

    Wealsoagreedtostrengtheneconomiccooperationbyoptimallyutilizingthepresentandnewinstitutionalmechanismsandintensifying
    privatesectorinterface.

    AnumberofagreementsandMoUshavebeensignedtodayforenhancingbilateralcooperationindifferentareas.

    Aswemoveforward,wewouldexpandmutualcooperationindiversefieldsincludingenergy,security,education,culture,andpeopleto
    peopleexchanges.
    Ourparliamentsareinteractingcloselyandreinforcingtheeffortsofthetwogovernmentsforcloserties.

    Itisimportantforoursocioeconomicdevelopmenttoeliminatethescourgeofextremismandterrorism.Today,wereaffirmedour
    commitmenttomaintainandfurtherincreaseourhighlevelofcooperationtocounterthesethreats.

    PakistanandTajikistanarealsoconcernedaboutthemenaceofnarcoticsdrugs,crossborderorganizedcrimes,andhumantrafficking.We
    haveresolvedtocollectivelyfightagainsttheseevils.

    OurtwocountriescooperatecloselyintheUN,OIC,ECOandSCO.Wereiteratedourmutualdesiretodeepenthiscooperation.

    Intheregionalcontext,weconferredonthesituationinAfghanistanourbrotherlycountryatacrucialjunctureinitshistory,particularlypost
    2014.

    PakistanwishesourAfghanbrotherswell,astheygothroughthesecurity,politicalandeconomictransitions.Apeaceful,stableandunified
    Afghanistanremainsvitalforpeaceandstabilityinourregion.

    WehaveagreedtointensifyourmutualconsultationsonAfghanistan,whilewebothcontinuetosupportaninclusiveAfghanledandAfghan
    ownedpeaceprocess.

    MyvisittoDushanbehasprovidedusanopportunitytoreflectonourcommongoalsofprogressandprosperityandthedevelopmentof
    infrastructureandconnectivityforregionalintegration.

    WebothattachgreatimportancetoearlycompletionofCASA1000project.ThiswillenablePakistantoimport1,000MWofelectricityfrom
    Tajikistantoaddressourgrowingenergyneeds.


    TajikistanisourclosestneighbourinCentralAsia.ItislocatedattheconfluenceofSouthandCentralAsiaandisagatewaytotheCISregion.
    Similarly,weoffertheshortestpossibleroutetoTajikistanandothercountiesintheregiontoourseaports.

    OurforwardlookingvisionoffurtherelevatingthePakistanTajikistanstrategicrelationshipaimstobuildonthesenaturaladvantages.

    Iwishtoconcludebyexpressingprofoundgratitudetomybrother,PresidentRahmon,andthegovernmentandpeopleofTajikistan,fora
