Strategic location of Pakistan a blessing

Pakistan with geographical location China from north, India from east,
Afghanistan from west and Arabian and Indian sea from south has a great
importance on the world map, very few countries around the globe are so
much lucky in terms of their strategic location that is in north Pakistan has
great economic power China , Arabian sea on south connecting not only
Pakistan but also different countries with each other for trading, not only that
if carefully analyzed Pakistan is situated in the centre of Muslim countries
and also different powerful countries , Wakhan Strip from north separates
Pakistan from Tajikistan which is the gateway to Russia.
Above mentioned different characteristics of Pakistans strategic
location might look to be a blessing for Pakistan but if carefully studied,
Pakistan has been the victim of different huge problems only because of its
uniqueness in terms of location.
In case of any alliance among world powers the significance of
Pakistan can never be overlooked and Pakistan due to Its weak economic
position has been used by different players, in short Pakistan has been
intervened by different other countries in different ages, that is Pakistan has
been the part of different games even they had never affected Pakistan
directly or indirectly. After 1960s Pakistan signed mutual defense agreement
with USA only because it helped USA during cold war, in 1980s Pakistan had
been the part of afghan war that is Afghan mujahedeen in their war against
USSR had been highly aided by Pakistan and it would not be wrong to say
that the disintegration of USSR was also Pakistans indirect involvement in
the war. Pakistan has also been the main player in after 9/11 scenario in
American war against terror.
Pakistans involvement in above mentioned events has put it into
different huge losses , that is Pakistans affairs have off and on been
intervened by different other countries mainly USA, since 2004 hundreds of
innocent common citizens of Pakistan have been the victim of USA drone
attacks again drone attacks in Pakistani territories show Pakistani
governments independence of decisions. Taliban which were creation of
Pakistan for the war USAs war against USSR have been a huge threat for

Pakistan, peace issues mainly in Pakistan are the outcomes of Pakistans

involvement in others issues.
Due to the interference of different other powers in the region
Pakistan has got habitual to depend on their aid and loans, the financial aids
that are given to Pakistan can never outweigh the above mentioned losses
that Pakistan has faced, again in the periods when Pakistan gets useless in
any game the aid is highly lessened that is during the periods of 1990s
Pakistan had been relatively of no use to USA, so during that time for
Pakistan to face its financial problems was very difficult.
In short we can say that even Pakistan has been blessed with a
great geo strategic location but because of weak economic position and
different situations Pakistans this uniqueness has been negatively used by
different world powers for different purposes which has led different
problems including peace instability, economic instability and corruption etc,
so the history clearly shows that Pakistans geostrategic location has been a
bane for it then being a blessing.
