ABSTRACT
This template represents the basic guidelines and desired layout final manuscript of Ist
Pakistan Urban Forum (PUF) 2011. Abstract should not contain any equations,
references, or footnotes.
This article plays the role of a template as well as the guidelines for prospective
authors who will have to prepare the final manuscript accepted for publication by PUF.

1. INTRODUCTION
These instructions give you the guidelines for preparing papers for PUF. Use this
document as a template if you are using Microsoft Word 2003 or later.
The paper size should be A4 (210mm by 297mm). All margins should be 2.5 cm. The
suggested length of a regular paper would be 4~15 pages not numbered and in this
style. The subsequent headings are called subsection.
All fonts are 12 Times New Roman. Text is explaining clearly the nature of the
problem, previous work, purpose and contribution of the paper.

2. MAIN HEADING (14 Times New Roman, Bold, Capital)


The text following a main heading should start here and have one line space above and
two lines space below it.

2.1 Secondary Heading (14 Times New Roman, Bold)


The text following a secondary heading should start here and have one line space
above and below it.

2.1.1 Third Grade Heading (12 Times New Roman, Bold)


The text following a third heading should appear like this and have one line of space
above it. There is no full stop following the heading only two spaces.

EQUATIONS
All equations must be set or clearly typed. When referring to equations in the text,
preface the number with the word "Equation". Displayed equations should be
numbered simply (1), (2). The numbers should appear at the extreme right of the line
in brackets.
Equations should be placed at 1.5 cm from the start of the line and provided
consecutively with equation numbers in parentheses flushed to the right margin, as in
(1). You must use Microsoft Equation Editor.
Be sure that the symbols used in your equation have been defined before the equation
appears or immediately following.

The style of the text is Times new Roman.

TABLES
Tables must be set as part of the text. The word "Table" and a sequential number must
be set before the title of the table, which should be centered. The Table, Table number
and the title should be 12 Times New Roman and Bold. Leave one line of space above
and below tables. Large table should be set sideways on the page, reading up. Please
ensure that all letters and numbers in the table are legible.

FIGURES
Illustrations should be drawn or printed on a hard surface paper using black ink. The
Figure, Figure number and the title should be 12 Times New Roman and Bold. Please
ensure that all annotations, (numbers, letters, symbols and captions) are legible.
Spelling and symbols on diagrams must conform to their usage in the text. No
illustrations should be placed on the first page. Captions to illustrations should each
start with the word "Figure", be numbered sequentially, be placed below the
illustrations and be centered. Leave one line space between caption and the text.

5. CONCLUSIONS
The word CONCLUSIONS should be written as 14 Times New Roman, Bold, and
Capital. The text should be 12 Times New Roman. This section indicates clearly the
advantages, limitations and possible applications of this paper.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
The word ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS should be written as 14 Times New Roman,
Bold, and Capital. This work was supported by the Project CCIA.

NOMENCLATURE
Nomenclature, if needed, appears after the Acknowledgment.

APPENDIX
Appendixes, if needed, appear after the Nomenclature.

REFERENCES
The word REFERENCES should be written as 14 Times New Roman, Bold, and
Capital. The text is in 12 Times New Roman. References should be collected at the
end of the paper in numerical order. In the text a reference is shown by the authors
name, followed by number in square brackets (e.g. Shandrasekhar [4], Hess and Smith
[5], Taylor et al. [6] ...). In the list of references show the information as follows: for a
Book [1], Edited Book [2], Chapter in a Book [3], Paper in a Journal [4], Paper in
a Conference Proceeding [5]:
