Facts about visitors

Since the beginning of 2009, 10 950 persons have visited the Centre, most frequently in May 2011 and May 2012 The largest number of visitors was registered on 28 September 2012 when during the Open Door Day, the Centre welcomed almost 1755 visitors Several persons visit the Centre repeatedly; one of them has visited the Centre 80 times. The longest visit has lasted for 4 hours The Centre has a special room for visitors to meet with Saeima members and officials (upon prior arrangement)

Facts about submissions

Since the beginning of 2009, the Saeima has received 24 285 personal submissions, mostly by mail. A total of 1190 submissions have been handed in personally at the Centre Most frequently the submissions have been addressed to the individual deputies and the Saeima committees The most submissions received from one person on various issues was 180. One person has called the Saeimas hotline 65 times

In June 2012, the Saeima considered the first collective submission Liability for Breaching the Oath of a Member of Parliament. It was filed by citizens pursuant to the Rules of Procedure of the Saeima and signed by 13 854 citizens.
In some cases, 100 submissions have been received simultaneously, one to each Saeima member

The Centre receives an average of 140 calls per month Since the beginning of 2009, the staff of the Centre has provided answers to 5713 questions; in September 2010 alone 209 answers were provided
