Get Smart With PB Card

Terms & Conditions


1. The campaign is valid until 30 April 2015 (Campaign period).
2. The Campaign is open exclusively to New-to-Bank principal credit cardmembers during
the campaign period (Qualified Cardmember).
3. The following persons are excluded from participating in the campaign :3.1

existing principal credit cardmembers applying for another/ additional principal


credit card during the promotion;

3.2

employees of the Public Bank Group;

3.3

former Public Bank credit cardmember whose membership was cancelled less than
one (1) year from the date of the current application;

3.4

any person applying for a Public Bank supplementary credit card during the
campaign period.

3.5

any person applying via Direct Sales channel (subject to item 5.2 only).

4. The following credit cards are excluded from the campaign:


4.1

PB-Esso Mobil Visa Gold Credit Card

4.2

PB-AIA Visa Gold Credit Card

4.3

Mutual Gold-PB Visa Platinum Credit Card

5. During the Campaign period, the Qualified Cardmember (as defined in item 2, 3 & 4)
will receive :5.1 The Card Acquisition cum Activation Offer Promotion

This offer is only valid until 31 March 2015.

The Qualified Cardmember and each of his Supplementary Cardmembers will


receive a one-off activation card rewards payment as follows :a) PB Visa Infinite
Principal Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM50-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 2 months from the date the card is approved.
Supplementary Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM25-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 60 days from the date the card is approved.

b) PB Visa Signature
Principal Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM50-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 2 months from the date the card is approved.
Supplementary Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM25-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 60 days from the date the card is approved.
c) PB Platinum Card
Principal Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM60-00 for the accumulated retail spending of
RM80-00 or more charged on the card within the first 2 months from the date
the card is approved.
Supplementary Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM30-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 60 days from the date the card is approved.
d) PB Gold Card
Principal Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM50-00 for the accumulated retail spending of
RM80-00 or more charged on the card within the first 2 months from the date
the card is approved.
Supplementary Credit Card
Activation Cash Rewards of RM25-00 upon the first usage of the card within
the first 60 days from the date the card is approved.

The Activation Card Rewards payment will be credited into the Qualified
Cardmembers credit card account and the Supplementary credit card account
within 4 8 weeks after the tracking period of 60 days and will be reflected in the
respective credit card statement.

The Activation Cash Rewards payment is non-transferable to any 3rd party and is
non-exchangeable for up-front cash or any kind.

5.2 Complimentary Samsung GALAXY V

The Qualified Cardmember (as defined in item 2, 3 & 4) will receive a Samsung
GALAXY V by fulfilling the following criteria:
a) a one-time SMS registration to 66300
(SMS PBSM<space>16-digit card no. to 66300)
b) make one retail transaction of ANY amount within 60 days from card approval
date
c) The Samsung GALAXY V is available in black or white, the colour is subject
to stock availability.

5.3 0% interest on Balance Transfer and FlexiPay


Balance Transfer
The Qualified Cardmember (as defined in item 2, 3 & 4) can apply
for one-time 0% interest Balance Transfer under 12-month tenure plan, subject
to an accumulated retail spend of RM1,000.
Qualified Retail Spend does not include balance transfer, flexipay,
auto-debit transaction, recurring payment, interest payment, late payment
charges, finance charges, annual fees, and reversals.

This offer is only valid within the first 3 months from card approval date.

Subject to the available credit line in the Cardmember's Credit Card account,
the Cardmember must transfer a minimum of RM3,000 to enjoy this offer. All
transfer amount are up to a maximum of 80% of the total available credit limit.

This offer will not be applicable to any Qualified Cardmember who failed to
meet ANY of the following conditions :(i) Minimum retail spending of RM1,000 within first 3 months from card
approval date.
(ii) Application submission within 3 months from card approval date.
(iii) Minimum Balance Transfer amount of RM3,000 under 12-month tenure
plan

The Bank reserves the right to approve or reject any application and determine
the Outstanding Balance allowed to be transferred at its absolute discretion

An early exit fee of RM100 or 2% on the original amount (whichever is


higher) will be charged if cardmember terminates or discontinues the
programme by making full payment prior to the expiry of tenure.

FlexiPay

The Qualified Cardmember (as defined in item 2, 3 & 4) is also


entitled to apply for a one-time 0% interest for 12-month FlexiPay.
This offer is valid within 3 months from card approval date.

The application is subject to available credit line in the Qualified


Cardmember's Credit Card account, the Qualified Cardmember must purchase
a minimum amount of RM1,000 to enjoy this offer.

This offer will not be applicable to any Qualified Cardmember who failed to
meet ANY of the following conditions :(i) Application submission within 3 months from card approval date.
(ii) Minimum purchase amount of RM1,000 under 12-month tenure plan.

An early exit fee of RM100 or 2% on the original amount (whichever is


higher) will be charged if cardmember terminates or discontinues the
programme by making full payment prior to the expiry of tenure.
Note :
For Balance Transfer and FlexiPay offers, an upfront 2% interest will be charged
upon application of the facilities. The interest will be waived within 4 months
from card approval date. In the event that cardmember failed to meet any of the
Terms and Conditions stated herein, the current interest rate will be applied.

6. A Qualified Cardmember whose card account(s) has been suspended, cancelled or


terminated during the Campaign period will not be entitled to any Activation Cash
Rewards and the Complimentary Samsung GALAXY V.
7. The Banks records of the application and approval dates will be final and conclusive.
8. General Terms and Conditions
8.1

By participating in this Campaign, the Qualified Cardmember will be deemed to


have read, understood and agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions stated
herein, including decisions of the Bank which are final, binding and conclusive. No
correspondence, disputes and appeals will be entertained. The Bank further reserves
the exclusive right to change, amend, delete or add on to these Terms and
Conditions from time to time with prior notice at www.pbebank.com website. Such
amendments, deletion or addition shall become effective on such date as the Bank
may determine. The Qualified Cardmember agrees to be bound by such
amendments, deletion or addition.

8.2

The Bank reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Campaign. For the
avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by the Bank of the
Campaign shall not entitle the Qualified Cardmember to any claim or compensation
against the Bank for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by the

Qualified Cardmember as a direct and indirect result of the act of cancellation,


termination or suspension.
8.3

The Bank shall not be liable, whether direct or consequential, for any loss and
damage or whatsoever suffered by the Qualified Cardmember caused directly or
indirectly, in whole or in part, from their participation in the Promotion as a result of
any act or omission on the part of the Bank.

8.4

The Terms and Conditions herein are in addition to and without prejudice to the
Terms and Conditions stated in the Cardmember Agreement applicable to the
Qualified Cardmember s Card Account. In the event of any inconsistency between
these Terms and Conditions and the said Agreement, these Terms and Conditions
shall prevail in so far as they apply to the Get Smart With PB Card.
