Our Clean Air Treatment Goal

Our goal is to provide the most cost

effective and practical solution to the
customers compressed air system
needs.

Why Clean Air Treatment?

Moisture

contaminates products and pneumatic equipment

causes rust in piping
freezes in piping or air tools if exposed to cold
causes poor paint quality

Oil aerosols and vapors

contaminate process chemicals or products
ruin membrane systems
contaminate the environment

Dirt, rust and other particles

These cases all lead to

product rejects,
increased maintenance
costs, production
downtime, reduced
efficiency and increased
equipment wear.

clog air tools, processes and other equipment

wear out seals and erode system components
contaminate paint and other process chemicals

The Six Levels of Compressed Air Quality

Your application
determines the air quality
you need. How much of
the contaminants to
remove is the first step in
the product selection
process. The six levels
shown here provide a
convenient guideline for
constructing your
compressed air system
based on your
requirements.

Heat Reactivated Exhaust Purge

Desiccant Dryers
KEPs:
Deliver dew points down to
-100oF
Use 6-7% for purge air
Provide significant savings
over heatless dryers
Heating the
regenerating air
reduces the amount of
purge air needed.

Sizes: 100
scfm and up

Heat Reactivated Blower Purge

Desiccant Dryers
Low operating costs
KBPs achieve dew points
down to -100oF, using
virtually no purge air.
They provide up to 20%
savings over KEP dryers.
Quiet vortex blower and
heater allows regeneration
with ambient air.
Sizes: 210 scfm
and up

Filters
KFS - Kaeser Filtered Separator removes 99+% of water and solid
particles 3 microns and larger.
KPF - Kaeser Particulate Filter removes solid particles 1 micron and
larger with an oil carry-over of 1 ppm.
KOR - Kaeser Oil Removal filter removes solid particles
0.01 microns and larger with an oil carry-over of 0.01 ppm.
KOX - Kaeser Oil Removal eXtra fine filter removes solid particles
0.01 microns and larger with an oil carry-over of 0.001 ppm.
KVF - Kaeser Oil Vapor Filter removes solid particles 0.01 microns
and larger with an oil vapor carry-over of 0.003 ppm.

Filters

Energy Efficient
Enlarged flow path reduces pressure drop. For every
2 psi of pressure drop, power requirement increases
by 1%.
Redesigned filter element employs new filter media
technology with low initial dry/wet pressure drop. New
media also has increased void area to accommodate
more contaminants, prolonging element life.

Condensate Drain Traps

Once liquid is captured by filtration or separation, drain
traps provide an effective means for liquid removal.
Timed Electric Traps
(TETs) are simple and
reliable.

Automatic Drain Traps

(ADTs) are demand
operated and avoid air
loss.

Automatic Magnetic
Drains (AMDs) are
extremely durable and
handle large amounts of
liquid without any air loss.

Condensate Management
Systems

Since the oil/water mixture released by

the drain traps is considered a
hazardous waste, CMS units have
become a necessity in compressed air
systems.
These units utilize a multistage system
to separate undesirable oil from water.
A convenient container for oil collection
allows disposal without disrupting the
system.
