Five Ethical issues

1- Corruption in Pakistan:
It seems like the Pakistani society and corruption go hand-in-hand. Corruption seems to be one of the
fundamental problems of this country. Many experts believe that the current lawlessness, shrinkage of
economy and increasing poverty is credited to the corruption in the country. Corruption is like a termite
that eats the entire structure of the government. In Pakistan over a period of year especially during the
1990s many governments became the victim of high corruption in the system. Recently issued report of
the Transparency International placed Pakistan on the 42nd number, ranked as the 42nd most corrupt
nation. With our leaders having their assets in the foreign countries , this level of corruption is most likely
to increase than decrease and it seems that our leaders have become shameless because such reports of
Transparency International does not affect them anymore. They are least bothered by the fact the
corruption has been explicitly condemned in our religion but it seems that it does not matter to them
anymore, The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
Allah cursed the briber (rashi) and bribe-taker (murtashi). Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As [The
Office of the Judge (Kitab Al-Aqdiyah) [24:3573], Sunnan Abudawud.
If our leaders, bureaucrats and other government officials keep running on this track then one day we will
be ranked as the most corrupt country in world. But then at least we will be ranked number one
somewhere! I do not know if we will be proud of it or ashamed of it!

2-university free-ship:
In universities generally free-ship is given to the students on the basis of merit and poverty, that helps
the students to continue their studies . there are three scholarships in our university in every department.
Merit based scholarship is given to the top position holder and remaining two are for poor students.
Unfortunately these scholarship are given partially to some students. This totally dishearts the poor
students and throws a psychological impact on the poor students failed to avail this free-ship only because
they had no approach to the concerned authorities. I suggest that this selection should be totally on
poverty basis and with totally impartiality, sufficient information about their home financial status , his
hostel life may be very helpful.
3-Hostel outsiders:
Hostel is a place where the student live they have admissions in the same university. Unluckily some
students used to have theirs guests living in the hostel for months and even for years. These guests are
known as outsiders. These are the parameters that are the cause of most of the problems in the hostels. I
suggest that these guest should not be allowed to live in the hostels without permission. Hostel wardens
and other concerned authorities are responsible for this. There should be card checking system, and
gatekeepers should have all the necessary information of all the students living in the hostel. And should
be warned not to be partial to anyone and not to take cover any outsider. I think these suggestion may be
helpful in reducing the outsiders.
4-Drones attacks in Pakistan:
One of the most challenging issues is the U.S attacks by drones in the Pakistani territory. Thousandsof
People have become the victims of these attacks. And our leaders have closed their mouths against these
attacks. Pakistan has the technology to shoot down these drones, but our leaders cant give permission to
do so, because U.S pleasure cost more against the sovereignty of Pakistan. And this behavior of the
leaders increases hastens in the public.
5- Displacement of the chief justice of Pakistan:
The displacement of the chief justice of Pakistan was one of the worst decisions of the
government. It created an atmosphere of immorality in Pakistan at international level. It also threw a
sense of irresponsibility and instability in the country. And showed the dominance of Marshall Law over
the democracy in Pakistan. Also showed the peak of injustice in Pakistan that even the chief justice could
not get justice how the people get justice.
