RENT AGREEMENT

This agreement of rent of the terms entered on _________________ in the Christian year of Two
Thousand and Fifteen between__________________
w/o ______________________
(hereinafter called the lessor which expression shall unless repugnant to the context or meaning
thereof include the successor or successors, heirs and assignor) party on the one part and Mr.
_______________________(Pan No-_________) and Mrs. _____________________________
(Pan No-_________) (hereinafter called the lessee) to the context party on the second part.
Whereas lessor owns a house consisting the detailed prescribed are for
___________________________________________________________________________.
This agreement is executed by mutual discussion and negotiations between the party here and the
lessor. And whereas the lessor relying on confirmations, representation and assurances of the
lessee to faithfully abide by all the terms, conditions and stipulations contained in this agreement
has accepted in good faith to let out on rent the above said flat and is now willing to enter into
this agreement on the terms and conditions appearing hereinafter.
Now therefore this agreement Witnessed and it is hereby agreed and declared by and between the
parties hereto as follows:1. That the lessor has agreed to let on rent ___________________________________
_______________________________________________to the lessee on the monthly
rent of Rs. ________/- (Rupees___________________).
2. That this rent deed agreement shall be deemed to come into force w.e.f. _____________
and shall continue to remain in force for a period of eleven months until the expiry of
_____________ and may be renewed further on mutual understanding between the
parties. However, the lessee will be at his liberty to give one-month notice or one-month
rent in lieu thereof if he intends to vacate before the expiry of eleven months. Also the
lessor will be at his/her liberty to give one-month notice or one-month rent in lieu thereof

if she intends to get the flat vacated before the expiry of eleven months. If the agreement
is renewed after 11 months, rent for next year will be increased by 10% (ten percent).
3. That the lessee has agreed to pay monthly rent, other charges by 5 th of every month in
advance to the lessor by cash / Cheque only and no security will be deposited by lessee.
In case of delay Rs.100 per day will be paid by tenant for each day of delay in payment
of rent.
4. That the lessee shall not sublet, assign or otherwise part with the possession in part or
whole of the premises in favour of any other person, institution, company, etc. Also no
registration should be taken on rented property without written consent of lessor.
5. That the lessee will not construct any permanent and temporary structures and additions
or alternations to buildings layout fitting and fixtures without the written consent of the
lessor.
6. The premise shall be used for residential purpose only and lessee will not either use for
himself or allow any other person to use the flat for a purpose other than residential.
7. That the lessee will not use the internal or any external portion of the rented premise for
displaying any advertisement or deface or damage the building in any manner and he
will always keep the interior/exterior of flat in good condition.
8. That the lessee shall indemnify the lessor against all losses, damages, costs and expenses
whatsoever that may arise as a result of non-fulfillment by the lessee of any of the
conditions of the agreement.
9. That the lessee shall comply with all the rules and regulations of government N.C.T.,
Delhi Development Authority, Central Government Society rules and any other local
body, persons and authority statutory or otherwise that may be applicable to the premises
during the tenure of rent agreement.
10. If any rent shall be in arrears for two months or if lessee omits to perform or observe any
convenient condition, it shall be lawful for lessor to terminate this rent without prejudice
to any claim or right to action remedy which either of the two parties may be caused the
other in respect of any entrants breach, non performance of any conditions herein
contained, provided that previous notice must have been given by lessor to lessee under
registered post ( conveying his/her intention to terminate the rent).
11. That the lessor and his/her representatives is fully entitled to execute this rent deed and
hold this rent free and harmless of any demand, claims, actions or proceedings by other
in respect of quiet possession of the rented premises.
12. That the lessee undertakes as to handover and vacant peaceful possession to the lessor
after expiry of the rent or as per his/her demand notice before expiry the rent with all the
fittings, fixtures intact in good condition at the time of leaving the occupied premises.
13. The tenant has paid security amount of ______________ of (Rupees ten thousand to the
landlord which shall be refundable after expiry of the tenancy period without interest.
