Goodhue County 4-H received a
$2,500 donation from local farmer
Jill Swenson and Americas Farmers Grow Communities, sponsored
by the Monsanto Fund. The donation will help the organization
purchase iPads for entering animal information online, which will
be especially helpful come fair
time. Swenson, who has served

on a number of committees with
4-H, understands funding can be
tight and knew iPads were something they really wanted.
I think 4-H helps kids find
project areas and allows them to
do things they never thought they
would do before, said Swenson.
It teaches excellent leadership
skills and they make friendships
that last forever.
For five years, Americas Farmers Grow Communities has collaborated with farmers to donate
over $16.5 million to over 7,300
community organizations across
rural America. This year, winning

farmers will direct another $3.3
million to non-profits to help fight
rural hunger, purchase life saving
fire and EMS equipment, support
ag youth leadership programs, buy
much needed classroom resources,
and so much more.

Zumbrota Health Services (ZHS) recognizes outstanding employees who have

made a significant contribution within the facility each quarter. It also offers an
opportunity for all employees to recognize their peers for their exceptional job
performance.
There are nine different criteria that a candidate must meet in order to be nominated; a positive attitude, provides service that reflects ZHS Core Values, and
carries out additional responsibilities beyond their regular job assignment, for
example.
Holly Greve, one of our Mentor NARs, was nominated to be the first quarter of
2015s Employee of the Quarter! Holly joined ZHS July 31, 2014 as a NAR and
was quickly promoted to a Mentor NAR in November,. Holly stated that she chose
to work at ZHS because the atmosphere was positive, charming and clean.
Holly grew up in Mound, MN but moved to Northern CA when she was 13
years of age. After graduating high school, she moved back to MN and worked as
a server in a small caf in Deephaven for seven years. During that time she met the
love of her left and they welcomed two beautiful children to the family. Holly
studied Medical Assistance at the MN School of Business in Shakopee, MN, but
decided to be a stay at home mom for three years prior to deciding to pursue a
career as NAR.
As the Employee of the Quarter, Holly was presented with a certificate of
recognition as well as being recognized in ZHS publications, a 10-meal punch
card from the facility, an Employee of the Quarter polo shirt, parks in an honorary
parking spot during her reign, and is entered into the Employee of the Year drawing that will be held in December. The winner of the Employee of the Year will be
presented with a weekend get-away at the Fitgers Hotel in Duluth, MN!
