DARK STAR
OPENING
Belinda Sallin's definitive documentary Dark
Star: H.R: Gigers World shares the intimate
last years of the artist's life and brings
viewers into H. R. Giger's mysterious realm:
from the first skull he was given by his father
at the age of six, to macabre dinner parties
with his close-knit team, to the grisly
souvenirs from his time spent on the Alien
set. The film also addresses Giger's complex
relationship to the art world, where he defied
traditional
categories
and
embraced
commercial projects for musicians like
Debbie Harry, Korn, Emerson, Lake and
Palmer and the Dead Kennedys.

Swiss laboratory exploring the potential of
emerging technologies through design, is
back in New York to present how the
amazing scientific performance of densified

24 HOURS IN THE LIFE OF A SWISS

CUCKOO CLOCK
EXHIBITION
The clockwork and dcor of the Swiss
cuckoo clock has always been emblematic of
Swiss know-how and meticulous attention to
quality and detail. Originally, these small
clocks evoked the delightful simplicity of an
idealized agrarian life, set in the fresh
mountain air. Does the iconic Swiss cuckoo
clock serve only as folklore and tourist-bait?
No! It is so much more. Students and faculty
at HEAD Geneva have re-imagined the
cuckoo clock in 24 iterations. - See more at:
