Objective
I have recently moved to Sydney after three months of fruit picking in Perth and travelling around
Australia and Asia. I have a one year working holiday visa, which I wish to extend in June of this
year. I am a dedicated individual giving 100% to every task I undertake. I work well as part of a
team and also on my own initiative.
2005-2008
I studied Business administration with legal studies at Carlow institute of technology Ireland.
There I achieved a Diploma. I am proficient in the use of computers and there peripheral
equipment and programmes (Microsoft Word, Processor, Excel, TAS books and Database). From
my 3 year course I have gained excellent communication skills, administration and book keeping.
2000-2005
I completed my second Level education at the Patrician College Ballyfin County Laois, Ireland.

I enjoy all types of music. I play two types of musical instruments, the accordion and the tin
whistle, which I play at concerts back home in Ireland. I enjoy reading and exercising regularly. I
also love architectural history and travelling. Last year I visited Thailand London and Spain which
was spectacular as I got to experience the different cultures and historic buildings. I am a friendly
outgoing person who loves to meet new people.
Relevant experience
I commenced working with Avalon fashions in February 2008. My position title was secretary
receptionist. I liaised with customers both face to face and over the phone. My duties included
typing, arrange meetings and appointments with new and existing customers, merchandising of
stock, invoicing, stocktaking and banking. In September 2008 I got promoted to show room
manager. I performed as part of a team and when necessary I performed what ever duties were
required. I resigned in May 2009 to travel to Australia.
From May 2003 until July 2005 I worked as a part time waitress serving food and drinks at parties
and wedding receptions. I was still attending secondary school at this time and worked most
weekends and school holidays. The heritage hotel is a 5 star establishment and my duties
consisted of taking food and drink orders, silver service, serving food, setting tables, dealing with
the public, re stocking the bar. I really enjoyed the very busy atmosphere.
Other experience
This is a family business that my mother manages it is a ladies fashion shop. I have worked in
retail since I was 15 and any time I was vacant from my studies. I gained a lot of valuable
experience primarily selling/dealing with customers providing the highest quality of customer
service dealing with accounts cash register, deposits returns and lodgements of monies and
wages.
