Hillel Cohen
Dr. Hillel Cohen, M.D. is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and has
been an associate of South Florida Gastroenterology since 2009. He is one of the leading
medical specialists in Florida and was in private practice in New Jersey before moving here.
Currently Dr. cohen is on the medical staff at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Delray Medical
Centerand West Boca Medical center.
Dr. Hillel Cohen completed his education, including residency and fellowship from Robert
Wood Johnson Medical School (Rutgers) in New Jersey. With years of research and private
practice, he has published articles based on his clinical research in the area of gastro
esophageal reflux (GERD), Crohns Disease and ulcerative colitis and related inflammatory
bowel disease and stomach ulcers.
He specializes in nonsurgical techniques for hemorrhoids and is one of the few surgeons that
specialize in hemorrhoidal banding for symptomatic hemorrhoids and Infra-Red
Coagulation therapy. However, being a gastroenterologist, he does all routine
procedures such as sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, upper endoscopy and
treatment for colon cancer prevention. Additionally, he treats patients with reflux diseases,
Barretts esophagus, Crohns disease, and diseases of the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.
Other issues such as celiac disease, diarrheaconstipation, abdominal bloating, ulcerative
colitis are also treated.
Of all the laurels, he is on the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the
Honors society for doctors or the Alpha Omega Alpha. A recipient of many awards for his
outstanding contribution and medical care, he looks forward to treating more patients and
helping them stay healthy.
