A node consisting only out of a cube of lines in a faded neon-green. The lines
seem to loose definition near the corners, making the whole atmosphere
somewhat surreal.

DDS Central Router
For a moment you stumble back, and you have to check your decks stats to fully
realize that this room is really a matrix-construct. The English Club is
depicted in a better quality that you have ever seen before, well, except the
M-N system, but thats another matter. As you touch the velvet curtains you
feel a shiver running down your spine: Whoever created this VR, he certainly
cared for details: even the textures are right. You wonder why the rest of
the system looks that shoddy.

For a second you have the feeling as if you had left the net, as you are
greeted by warm sunshine and a multitude of voices. As you look around you
see that you are standing in the middle of a busy marketplace. You are

around their body and sandals. At several spots there are groups gathered
around a single, white-bearded man, obviously a teacher of some sort.

scattered orange litter the nullspace of this destroyed port.

surrounding info grid and melted into alpha-numeric slag. Thousands of file
access nodes are scattered about, each one sending out a gout of flickering

Club Mondo
The high resolution of this node pulses with screaming, smoking destruction.
Swirling pixels and fragments of wireframe furniture circle the event horizon
of a massive, neon-lined vortex that pulls in everything around it.

This chamber, obviously a CPU, buzzes with activity. Thousands of tiny

indicators blink on and off in seemingly random patterns, and packets of data
fly in and out of a huge cubical object in the center of the room, apparently
the main data bus to the processor.
The chamber is illuminated only by reddish shadows generated by some hidden
light source.

Entrance
A rather small, unassuming, room. The walls are rendered a simple wood painted
over in a faded blue. There is a tapestry, depicting the all knowing Lord
Enki, hanging on the wall. In the floor there is a round portal, just barely
large enough for you to sqeeze through. Surrounding it seems to be some
strange writing.
You see a sign here.
As you move yourself through the hole the writings surrounding it spin faster
and faster until all that you can seem before you is a blur of lettering.
Then, as fast as it all happened, it all just stops.
The Caves of Enki
This is a cave, or a labyrinth, or tunnel, or something. The only light in
here comes from a small, round, hole far above you. Otherwise it is dark.
Very dark. The walls are a dark, shiny darkness. From the dim light in here
you can barely make out crude pixelated cave paintings in a dark crimson red.
You can go east (e), up (u), and north (n).

otherwise just bleached white sand. A great rendered sun beats down.

and disappear into the distance.

This octagonal room is lit by recessed lighting in the ceiling, giving the
room shadows, in...odd places. Around the walls are more relics from the

a willy-nilly pattern. The floor, however, is noteworthy for a gigantic

Gourad shading and detailed textures coat every surface here in a crawling
expanse of rendered light. Soft shades of rolling, fractal green give the
impression that you stand on a platform in the middle of a glowing, neon
countryside. An impossibly black sky arches overhead, rendered with clockwork
precision as constellations of gemlike stars move in precise orbits.
A fleeting group of navsats drifts overhead in the electronic night.
Sharp, lens-flared light diffuses from the paths of geosynch-orbit habitats.
A dim, reddish coal burns in the rendered night, as the deep space habitats
rise like virtual moons. Soaring overhead everything is the distant, slowly
rotating spiral galaxy of IO's core systems.

This node is rendered in the form of a shuttle boarding platform, and glows in
neon hues under a velvety black sky. Rows of upturned communication dishes
line the platform, and occasional microburst transmissions flicker from them
like inverted lightning. A rippling, cone-shaped grid of red lines centers on
the platform and stretches outward. The curved surface it forms blossoms out
and up in a representation of the gravity well.

You are standing in the midst of what looks like a post-holocaust wasteland.
The twisted steel skeletal structures of once opulent buildings reach up into
the night sky around you. A large steel oil drum with a brightly burning fire
inside casts odd shadows off the twilight landscape. Wisps of pixelated smoke
float up into the night sky. Set into a nearby pile of rubble is an oddly out
of place, highly polished stainless steel door. You notice some
spray-painted grafitti scrawled on a broken cement pillar lying next to the
steel door.

The Grind
The flat black walls here absorb practically all light in this dimly lit club.
Large rusted steel beams support the high cathedral ceiling here. The ceiling
is covered in a morass of darkly colored datalines.
Various rusty scavenged 20th century machinery parts adorn the walls here.
Through the smokey haze you see numerous black metal chairs positoned around
brushed stainless steel tables.
Along the western wall runs a jagged, corroded steel bar, suspended on rusted
chains hanging from the high ceiling. What looks to be deep blue gas flames
flicker up from underneath the bar, giving off an odd, cold light.
Loud industrial music emanates from the walls here, grinding into your very
core, causing your pixels to vibrate excitedly.
A solid block of stainless steel floats in the corner. Several empty, and also
floating, chairs sit legless, hanging on air. A dusty old sofa sits in a
corner of the bar. It looks rather comfy.
You see a chess board and a Corellian ale here.
Azure 1.6 is leaning up against the bar.
You can go up (u).
An ornately carved chess set built from fine crystal. The board is a
combination of blue and clear crystal, with matching pieces.
