INFRARED SENDER SENSITIVITY

This remote control extender utilises infrared light for its operation. In some
circumstances, infrared light emitted from other sources including natural
sunlight, TV screens, Compact Flourescent Lamps, etc, may interfere with its
operation. To verify correct operation, temporarily remove these sources of
potential interference (covering the component with a towel is an effective test).
Most components (especially pay-to-view set-top boxes) operate at different
infrared sensitivity levels. Application of the included attenuation tape across the
infrared receiver window of these components or across the infrared transmitter
eye of the remote control extender may improve operation.
