Request for supervision

Respected Sir,
My name is Yasir Waseem Iqbal . I am PhD student in media studies at
Department of Media Studies The Islamia University Bahawalpur
Pakistan. At the recommendation of my advisors, Professor Dr Ghulam
Shabir and Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, I am writing to
humbly request your service and expertise to serve as an External
supervisor'' on my PhD Dissertation .
My advisors and I believe that your knowledge and insights would be
very valuable and would greatly enrich my work. Respected sir, i am
doing my PhD on Indigenous Scholarship of Higher Education Commission
of Pakistan and it will give me whole fund (6 months duration) and
Bench/ tuition fee for foreign university against an invoice raised by
the university. My thesis is entitled "Influence of Interpersonal
Communication and Media Exposure on Voting Behavior: A Study of
Election 2013 Campaign:

I am an indigenous scholar of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Sir I
have to serve as a faculty member anywhere in Pakistan after the completion of my PHD, as
per rule of HEC. They gave the opportunity to Phd scholars by funding them to select a
foreign supervisor for improving their research expertise from top 200 ranked universities of
the world. So that they become qualified enough to take part in the development of Pakistani
universities. That is why I have contacted you by choosing you as my external supervisor.
Your responsibilities will be to gave me guidance for improving my research skills so that I
made myself up to date of the current knowledge. As I am funded by HEC, I will spend a six
month time period under your supervision there in Ohio State University. My stay and
travelling expense will be paid to me by my HEC.
Your name will be included in my publications of Phd work. At the time of defence your
participation will be facilitated by my university in Pakistan through online meeting. I am
attaching my research proposal and academic documents. Waiting for acceptance letter.

My name is ...... and I am a PhD student at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Pakistan, working on the
Genetic Analysis of Retianl Dystrophies in Pakistani patients. I am interested in working on the RP at an advanced
level (expression analysis) and after doing extensive search I have found that your Team is working in this field.
Sir can you accommodate me in your lab for six months so that I can get a chance of working with your group. My
home country is giving scholarship to work abroad for six month but their requirement is an
official acceptance/invitation letter from supervisor abroad. I have attached my CV along with this email, please have
a look at it and if you find me suitable to work with you then please write for me an acceptance letter. I will be
thankful for your concern. I will send you my documents and all the details if they will be needed.
