This program offers children their first experience in the pool without
parental assistance. Children are taught the basic skills that are the
building blocks of swimming while learning about pool safety, boating
safety, and the use of personal flotation devices. A caring, certified swim
instructor teaches the 30 minute class. Class participants are divided into
skill levels, and class size is such that the instructor can provide children
with individual attention. Ages 3 - 5 years.

AQUATIC EXERCISE
AI CHI
Ai Chi is an efficient exercise program that increases oxygen and caloric
consumption simply with correct form and positioning in the water. Its is a
perfect relaxation technique for highly stressed, over-challenged clients,
and is ideal for creating improved range of motion, balance, and mobility.
Ai Chi was created by combining Tai-Chi concepts with Shiatsu and
QiGong techniques, and is performed standing in shoulder depth water
using a combination of deep breathing and slow, broad movements of the
arms, legs, and torso.

This is the aqua fitness program everyone has been waiting for, and its
not your grandmothers water workout! Zumba has taken over the aerobic
industry, and now its made its way to the pool. Aqua Zumba is a fun and
intense workout with great music and high energy.

Receive a full body fitness assessment from one of our personal
trainers! Assessments include blood pressure, height, weight, waist
and hip measurements, body fat percentage via skin fold analysis,

assessments. Our trainers will review your results with you on the same
day and give you recommendations for improvement!

FITNESS ADVENTURES
CORRECTIVE EXERCISE TRAINING
This type of program is geared to help individuals suffering from low
back pain, knee pain, or other forms of regular discomfort by focusing
on muscle lengthening and strengthening exercises. Nathan Goddard,
our Health and Wellness Director, has a masters degree specializing in
Rehabilitation Strategies and is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Once you sign up for the program, he will contact you to set up a day
and time for your initial assessment. Following your initial assessment,
you will have 5 one-on-one workout sessions together to address your
specific needs.

OPEN PICKLEBALL
Take part in the newest sport to hit the Y! Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton
and ping pong. Pickleball is easy to learn,and fun to play. Open Pickleball is available
during the week to members for free and non members for $3. For specific times contact
Willie Pickvet or the Membership Service Desk.

YS KIDS
A fun place for your child to unwind after school. Many activities are
offered such as social activities, games, and tutoring as well as outdoor
and gym play. 6 - 12 years old. We have a bus from Washington Elementary
and we pick up children from St. James/All Saints.

SNOW DAYS AT THE Y
When school is cancelled due to inclement weather, the Y has a place for
your children. Parents can relax and the kids can enjoy snow days off from
school by participating in fun activities here at the Y. Games, arts and
crafts, gym and pool are available! Please send a sack lunch and/or snack,
swim suit, and towel. Register now to guarantee a spot. Ages 6 - 12 yrs.
Starting November 1:

NON - SCHOOL DAYS & HOLIDAY BREAKS
When school is closed for teacher in-service days or Holiday breaks, kids
can enjoy the day here at the Y and parents can feel comfortable that
their children have a fun way to spend their day. Pool time, gym time,
games, arts and crafts, and other fun activities. Bring your swimsuit and
a sack lunch and/or snack. Must pre-register and pre-pay at the Member
Service Desk for this program. School-aged children.

FAMILY
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
Calling all parents! When was the last time you had a night to yourselves?
Drop your children off at the Y for some well-deserved time off. Your kids
will have time in the pool (ages 5 and up), themed games, and crafts.
Children ages 2 months to 12 years welcome! Unlimited pizza will be an
additional fee.

SLIDE-IN MOVIE
Put a new twist on family movie night and join us in the pool for our
Slide-In Movies. Watch a movie while floating down the lazy river or relax
in the leisure pool. Be sure to walk the red carpet and slide into the
pool via our water slide prior to the movie beginning. Please bring your
own small float. Pool party begins at 6:30pm and the movie begins at
approximately 7:00 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
