I N S T R U C TO R S :
Lin Bowie has been an environmental professional for 30 years. She studied biology and natural resources management
and holds a B.A. and a M.S. in those fields. Lin is currently an adjunct Instructor in the Horticulture and Biology Departments
at the College of San Mateo where she teaches biology, horticulture, floristry and soils, and other classes. 
Mario J Vega is a Nursery Specialist with the San Francisco Park and Recreation Department assigned to the
Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. Proficient in design, installation, watering, pest identification and prevention.
Mario has managed service personnel and greenhouses for over 25 years.
