verbs

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE
Understand and recognized the correct form of the irregular verbs in present, past and past
participle through a sentences, songs lyrics, reading and asking question in an interview.

RATIONALE
The Ss put in practice all of kind of irregular verbs in present, past and past participle and
recognize when the Ss read a paragraph and they listen to music with a lyric and practice in a
speak and write way.

TIME

a.Focusing event: T h e I n t e r v i e w
Break the group into two-person teams (have them pick a partner that they know the least about).
Have them interview each other for about twenty minutes (You can also prepare questions ahead of
time or provide general guidelines for the interview). They need to learn about what each other likes
about their job, past jobs, family life, hobbies, favorite sport, etc. After the interviews, reassemble the
group and have each team introduce their team member to the group.
b. Teaching procedures
Presentation: Show some common verbs in present, past and past participle and
explain how to use in a sentences, speak and write way
Controlled practice: play a game= bingo game each square there are some verb in
present and the student find in past and make BINGO.
Semi controlled practice: Listen part= The Ss listen the song BECAUSE YOU LOVED
ME with Celine Dion and the Ss gap-filling the lyric with verbs that they hear.
Free practice: Ss write a question using the present perfect and ask another students
about their questions
c. Formative/ Summative check: CHANGE CHAIR The Ss play a game in change chair.
They walk around the chairs if the Ss dont find a sit. I say the verb in present and the Ss
say in past and past participle.
d. Student Participation: The Ss make a groups and make a row. The game consist that I
write a verb in their back and the Ss write the verb in the back of their partner and so on and

the fist S ran to the blackboard and write the verb that they feel in his back . Win the row run
fast and write the verb in the board.
e. Closure: worksheet gap-filling the missing verbs
f. Feedback: Review the content about the irregular verbs and present perfect

EVALUATION PROCEDURES CABBAGE- Sit in circle and past the Cabbage and the Ss peel the
Cabbage in each paper write a verb in past and the Ss say in present and vice versa.

Cellphone, music trumpet (horn), worksheet
