1. SCOPE
This Quality Control procedure defines the extent of inspection and testing to be carried out
related to grouting activity. Cementitious grout shall be used for all steel & precast & beams
bases.

2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this Quality Control Procedure is to detail all inspection and testing in order to
verify that grouting works conforms to project requirements. This procedure shall be read in
conjunction with other related procedures where grouting activity is an integral part thereof.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Site Engineer/Supervisor shall be responsible for the following:

Ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with project specifications,
drawings and related QCPs and ITPs.

Ensure that the preceding activity was completed and approved for grouting works.

Ensure that all parties required to carry out inspection and/ or test are informed as
to the program of the works and the inspection and testing requirement.

Ensure hat all preparations have been made as to the execution of the grouting
activity.

QCE (Civil) shall be responsible for the following:

Ensure that all other discipline have been inspected and approved for the grouting
activity.

Review all relevant documentation and ensure that all activities related to grouting
works are documented, inspected and approved by CONTRACTOR and
COMPANY.

QCI (Civil) shall be responsible for the following;

Ensure that he fully aware of the grouting activity programmed.

Ensure he attends inspection in a timely manner and records results the result of
inspection on appropriate forms.

Ensure that the grouting work conform to the project requirements.

6. PROCEDURE
o

The Site Engineer/Supervisor will raise Request for Inspection (RFI), as required and
initial /prepare the necessary documents related to the activity (Grout Pour Card, Survey
Reports, etc.) and submit to Quality Department prior to grouting work.

Ensure that all grout materials are approved by Company / Contractor prior to installation.

Grout shall be installed after the final equipment alignment is completed and approved by
Company.

Grouting works shall not be carried until preparation have been completed and approved
by CONTRACTOR and COMPANY.

The type of grouting material shall be carefully checked and verified to ensure the correct
type of material is used as required in the drawings and Project Specification T-4.184.248
for Grouting.

Surface preparation of item to be grouted shall be carefully checked and verified from
each particular grouting material to ensure proper preparation before grouting.

Mixing shall be homogenous.

Grout Pour Card shall be used for grouting activities.

Mixing, placing and temperature of grouting shall be in accordance with the materials
manufacturers data sheet.
