adoptionanduseofAmbulatoryHealthRecords(AHRs)amongprimarycareprovidersinNYC'sunderserved
communities.Itsmissionistoimprovepopulationhealththroughappropriatetechnologyandhealthinformation
exchange.
TheeClinicalWorkssystemwaschosenbyNewYorkCitysDepartmentofHealthandMentalHygieneastheirvendorof
choicetoaccomplishtheirgoals.

TheTquicklinkintheStatusTaskbarandtheTelephoneEncounterswindowenablesofficestafftokeep
trackofinformationcommunicatedtothepracticeaboutapatientthatrequiresactiontobetaken.Whena
patientorfamilymembercallsintoaskaquestionorprovideacomment,recordallrelevantinformationina
telephoneencounter.
TheTaskbarquicklinkalsokeepstrackofthenumberoftelephoneencountersassignedtostaffforreview(by
user).HighprioritymessagesarenotedwitharedquicklinkandaredexclamationmarkontheTelephone
Encounterswindow.

AllimmunizationshavetheTC(technicalcomponent)modifieralreadyassignedas90%ofthetimenurses
providethisservice.Pediatricianswillneedtodeletethatmodifierastheygiveimmunizationstotheir
patients.Thisistrueofanyinhouseproceduresaswell.Wherethenursegenerallyprovidestheservice,the
TCmodifierisalreadyassignedtotheCPTcodesointheeventaphysicianprovidestheservice,theTC
modifiermustberemovedforthephysiciantogetcreditfortheservice.
