Education
Oxford University, MEng Engineering Science 2011 - present
The course included modules as: Mathematics, Electronics, Control Theory, Information Engineering and Optimization
Established strong analytical and numerical skills
National College Unirea Focsani 2007- 2011
Baccalaureate Exam (Romanian equivalent to A-level tests):9.7 out of 10 in Physics, 9.5 out of 10 in Mathematics

Work and Practical experience:

Design of a cloud software recognition 2014-present
I am designing software in Matlab capable of detecting clouds and the changing intensity of the sun using image
processing. I have managed to track the sun's position using just GPS location information and the time of day. Also I
have produced a velocity field of the image by using cross correlation. Using this, I plan to obtain the time required for
the cloud to reach the sun and predict how the sunlight intensity changes over time.

Summer work at the Romanian Parliament 2014

I attended meetings in the finance and industry committee and discussed with MPs and Romanian government
officials about the economic policy of Romania.
I gain a better understanding of finance market and concepts and what influences the economy of a country.

Design of a Student Formula Electric Hybrid Race Car 2013-2014

As my third year project, I was part of a 6 members team which had as a goal to design a car that would be eligible to
compete in the Formula Student competition. I was in charge of researching the electric and control part of the car
I learned important characteristics of electrical components, such as electric motor and batteries and also I have
enriched my communication skills as all major decisions were made in the team, as well as my presentation skills

Mobile Robotic Internal Competition, 1st place 2012

My partner and I had to program a line follower robot which also would be able to detect any objects in its path. I was
in charge with the coding part, relying on the data received from a basic 64 pixel camera. In an internal completion we
got the first prize, obtaining the best time by 2 seconds
I gained valuable knowledge of programming in C and developed teamwork abilities

Craythorne Scholarship, from Worshipful Company of Cutlers in conjunction with Keble College, 2012 2014
First Prize at the International Contest PHI 2010
Diploma of Excellence at the National Physics Olympiad 2009
