1.8. OBJECTS ON THE WATER LINE

1.8.1. (05.) SEPARATING CHAMBER AND (06.) PRIMARY TREATMENT(HUBER UNIT)
Function of separating chamber is whan necessary to distribute water that comes to the
WWTP on two Huber units, which makes the package with the coarse screen, grit
chamber and fine screen. Within the building is provided by pass for water that comes to
the WWTP and accrued water engages to the recipient.
The function of Huber's unit is to remove coarse material, which could reduce the
efficiency of the process or to contaminate waste water routes. Waste can be transported
directly into the container, and then carried to the dumpsite by trucks. It is planed
construction of two Huber units (one for the first phase) capacity 60l/s.
Coarse screens are used for protection of pumps, valves, piping and pipe fittings of
coarse materials that could damage them.
Aerated grit chamber provides the necessary retention time of waste water resulting in a
separation of gravel and sand, while simultaneously providing aeration for mixing of
wastewater in grit chamber.
Fine screens remove particles to protect the process equipment located downstream.
The structure is planed as monolithic, massive construction, designed with waterproof
reinforced concrete on site. The structure is planed for the final phase. The object

reinforced concrete on site. It is planed one unit for the first phase and one for the second
phase of the construction. The object dimensions are 12,60 x 4,86m. The active depth of
the object is 4,00m.
1.8.3. (08.) SBR BASIN
Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) is a treatment with activ sludge, which is based on
charge and discharge, and that provides the performance of different treatments in a
single reactor.
There are four basic cycles in a process that takes place in the SBR:
The sequence of filling
The sequence of reactione
The sequence of deposition
The sequence of discharge
After the sequence of discharge follows the sequence mode whose duration varies.
During the sequence mode can drop the mud can be dropped, if not removed during the
discharge phase of the SBR. During this phase the SBR is being prepared for the next
cycle.
In construction plans, building of structures is planed in pairs. In the first phase one pair is
planed, and in the final phase additional two pairs. The structure is planed as monolithic,
massive construction, designed with waterproof reinforced concrete on site. The object
dimensions are 22,90 x 21,60m. The active depth of the object is 4,50m.

1.8.4. (09.) COLLECTING BASIN

After treatment in the SBR basins, it is provided the construction of the collecting basin
(one in the first phase of construction) that would further control the flow of tertiary
treatment, the filters and UV disinfection, located in the basement of the command
building.
The structure is planed as monolithic, massive construction, designed with waterproof
reinforced concrete on site. The complete structure is planed for the first phase. The
object dimensions are 11,10 x 11,10m. The active depth of the object is 3,40 + 0,50m.

Sludge thickening is the first step in reducing the volume of sludge. The process of
thickening mainly increase concentration of the sludge collected in the SBR. Thickening
process has the following advantages:
Thickener is gravity type, with the circular cross section. Raw sludge is being deposited
and thickened. Scraper directs thickened sludge in the hub from which is extracted and
taken to the filter press.
Clear water in the thickener overflows in circumferential channel and by drain pipe is
directed to the separating chamber, which is situated before the fine screen.
Elevation of water in the thickener is 73.50 masl. It is planed that the device has a
continuous operation. It is expected that after treatment obtains 4% sludge.
It is planed construction of one primary thickener in the first and one in the second stage.
The structure is planed as monolithic, massive construction, designed with waterproof
