Bible and Life Groups

“A Place for Everyone to Connect, Grow, and Enjoy.”
Highlight Classes of the week:
Saturday - “Man in the Mirror” taught by Tim Shave, is a men
only class and meets in WC103. This study has helped thousands of men
understand the person who stares back at them from the glass each
morning. If life’s demands are constantly pressuring you to run faster and
jump higher, this study is for you. The Man in the Mirror offers a penetrating,
pragmatic, and life-changing look at how to trade the rat race for the
rewards of godly manhood.

Sunday - “Marriage: Built to Last” taught by Ken Creasman

meets in DC107 at 9:30 a.m. Money, in-laws, sex, arguments...we all want a
healthy, loving marriage, but there are so many real issues that can stand in
the way. This study partners with Chip Ingram of “Living on the Edge” radio
program; financial guru, Dave Ramsey; and Super Bowl MVP, Kurt Warner, to
tackle the common issues couples are facing in their marriages today. Each
session will include a video covering some of the most challenging issues
facing married couples, followed by a focused Bible study on how to deal
with problems and obstacles, strengthen the relationship between you and
your spouse, and pursue a Christ-centered marriage that is
built to last.
First Steps Class
A First Steps Class for children in 1st through
4th grades, who would like to get baptized, will
begin on Sunday, February 28th at 11:00 a.m.
This 4 week class covers the topics of salvation,
baptism, communion, being a part of the
church, and growing as a child of God. Please
contact the Children’s Ministry Office at
596-8600 x 350 to sign your child up for this class and to pick up their
workbook.

Come visit Abba Ministry in the Missions Kiosk this week!
J-127 Project Presents

This mission is a support ministry for families who are

called to adopt children domestically and internationally.

Adoption is a Great Commission priority. Some Christians

are called to adopt an orphan, while others are called to
equip and support those in the process.

Throughout the Scriptures, the people of God have been called

upon to minister to and bless children who are orphaned by death
or desertion. Therefore, it becomes an act of simple obedience
and expression of the love of God.

ABBA Ministry In-Motion:

John 14:18. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”
The Abba Ministry is currently assisting Nathan & Bethany Gaddis, Worship &
Creative Arts Associate at FBCN, in bringing home Jaydn Priscilla (pictured below)
from Uganda, Africa.

For more information on how you can be a part of God’s

calling to “look after the orphans” (James 1:27) and support
the Abba Ministry, please visit the missions kiosk after
services, or call 239-596-8600 x249 or email
abbaministry@fbcn.org.

Looking for Champions
Volunteer Leaders
Champions are church members who are needed to
coordinate/lead many ministries within First Baptist. This
week we are highlighting:
DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a video seminar series featuring some of
the nation’s foremost Christian experts on divorce and
recovery topics as seen from a biblical perspective. The
video seminars are combined with support group
discussions. In addition, DivorceCare for Kids helps
children whose parents are separated or divorced,
providing them help with healing and encouragement.
The volunteer champion will be responsible for
scheduling support groups for adults and children,
recruiting & assigning leaders for the groups, and staying
abreast of new offerings from the ministry.

The weekly commitment is expected to be four hours.

The champion can be a seasonal resident.
