Provided background information of today's Mayan culture and the past knowledge and culture
of the Mayans. Includes all of what the mayans have innovated and invented and provides
overview of cultural aspects of the Mayan civilization. This source has given me the Mayan
culture overview of all their life aspects and from where they expanded and declined. It also
gives details of the spanish discovering and identifying some theyre famous works.

2009. Print. This is a book that exemplifies and compares three mesoamerican cultures through
time and answers what existed before the spanish arrived, how did they live, what did they
achieve, what happened to them and tells some of the history between them. This sources
validity meets my minimum requirements but helps because of how it interprets some of their
history in a biblical perspective and compares and contrasts the civilization overtime.

perspective of the current mayan generation providing information of the past. Showed what

history they have accomplished and what history has become of the Mayans overtime. Gives
multiple videos and documentations of the history of the Mayas and the Mayans today.

evidence of The Mayan conspiracy and provided intellect of mathematical and astronomical
discoveries that the Mayans had discovered. Included a video that provided signs and evidence
of Mayans encountering extraterrestrial aliens, proves the a series of pieces of evidence and
compares the civilization with some of the past and current worldly examples.
Sharer, Robert J. "Maya architecture." World History: Ancient and Medieval Eras. ABCCLIO, 2015. Web. 22 Apr. 2015. Provided reasons and explanation to which Mayans used
architectural means and used in a very sophisticated way. The architecture was one of the most
advanced and provided what some of the building that were located played out with the
astronomical and religious aspect of building these amazing structures.

the importance of Mayan astronomy and in other civilizations at the time and showed how
mayans kept time very precise. This provided what Mayans kept track of such as the morning
and evening star, lunar eclipses and the suns duration of day and night. This source also later
shows how mayans kept track of some of the celestial bodies because of the religious aspect.

source provides what people traded and what people found out of nearby sources and expanded
on them and incorporated them into their daily lives. Provides explanation of how they marketed
and routes from south to north and east to west all the way to Central America via the Caribbean.

Central America to discover some of the Mayans pieces even discovering all the first aspects of
what it was like to be inside some of the Mayans greatest building they made. The author
described how he bought the City of Copan which was in the British Honduras or modern day
Belize and had architects look at the structures and described and documented the Temple of
Inscription, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Cross and the Temple of the Foliated Cross.

was proving the fact of the Mayan disappearance due to environmental factors. There research

includes analysis of the time during the and other earthly materials dating them back to see if
there was any evidence of environmental change in the Yucatan area. The study proved that the
Mayans agricultural means of life was a big part of their traditional aspect and used this to see
their interactions with the environment.

Kinsella, John. "The Mayan Calendar." The Mathematics Teacher 27.7 (1934): 340-43.
JSTOR. Web. 27 Apr. 2015. This was a journal on the depth of the mayan calendar. It showed
why the Mayans supposed December 21, 2012 was dooms day. It gave details and explanations
on what they considered time and day and actually calculated some of the time ahead almost
10,000 years ahead and calculated it correctly. The validity of this article is shown to this topic
because it shows reason of why Mayans probably disappeared from their land to avoid this
catastrophic upcoming day.
