This one’s for the hypocrites.
The mysterious outro was made to point out the foolishness of those who blindly follow
the leader, and never dare to question authority.
So, we finally made it - our very first album. A good solid rock album, if you ask me. Words: Dagfinn

there was the limitation of vinyl back in those days, but I don’t think that anyone considers
Deep Purple’s “Machine Head” with it’s seven outstanding anthems being too short? Just to
name an example.

This is also the end of a two-year long journey that has been both rewarding and painful.
A lot of the time was, unfortunately, spent on waiting. Waiting for the right people to turn
up and for the right things to happen. I guess it’s safe to say that it was worth the wait,
but if we’ve learned anything from this then I must say that our organizational skills have
improved a great deal.
You collect a lot of experience when recording your first album, and one of those things,
apart from being better at organizing, is preparation. It’s no good just turning up in the
studio and thinking that everything is gonna work out, unless you have been “working out”.
We hadn’t even written all the material when we started recording, and unless you have a
big record deal that can be a very expensive way to go. We were also rather unprepared

when it came to playing and performing, and I must say that if it hadn’t been for Jon Mc.
Birnie, who recorded and produced the first half of the record, we wouldn’t have sounded
anywhere near the finished product. He kicked us into shape and made us sound like a decent
rock band. However, this collaboration was not to continue throughout the entire album,
and our ways parted when the recordings were half done.

After spending some time in Limbo, we settled upon finishing the album at Studio Oyravox She takes me through my lonely nights.

in Nolsoy. This time we had a different approach. The material was all finished, and we had
been working up a sweat in the rehearsal room for several weeks. We handled a lot of the solo - Dagfinn
recordings at Oyravox ourselves because Terji, who is the engineer and one of the

owners of the studio, was busy around that time. But he popped around every now and again
to see how we were doing and provided good advice and guidance all the way through. He solo - Bjarti
did, however, record the drums, bass and the vocals. We finished recording early in
September 2007, a process that had lasted since January 2006.
