    theIndianEnvoyatAlgiersaskinghimtoinformSheikhAbdullahthattheGovernmentwouldnotapproveofhisdecisiontovisitChina.If
    theSheikhdefiedtheGovernmentswarningandwenttoChina,itwouldbeahostileact,Mr.Shastriadded.
    TheGovernmentinthatcase,saidthePrimeMinister,wouldconsidercancellationoftheSheikhspassportandaskhimtocomebackto
    India.Ifhedoesnotcomeback,wewillnotbesorry.SheikhAbdullahwillbepersonanongratasofarasIndiaisconcerned.

    ThoughdrinkingmaysafelybepresumedtobelargelyamalephenomenoninIndia,itwasnoticedthatdrinkingdidprevailamongwomenin
    twodistinctsocioeconomicgroups.Womeninhighsocioeconomicgroups,suchaswivesofhighofficialsandwelltodobusinessmenand
    careerwomenwerefoundamongtheupperclasswomendrinkers.
    ThiswasoneofthemainconclusionsofasamplesurveyofdrinkinghabitsinDelhiduring196465conductedbytheDelhiSchoolofSocial
    Work,whichwereplacedonthetableoftheLokSabhabytheMinisterofPlanning,Mr.B.R.Bhagat.
    Accordingtothesurveytheothergroupofwomendrinkerscamefromresidentsfromslumneighbourhood.Therewasnointeresting
    differencebetweenthesetwogroupsofwomendrinkers.Whereastheupperclasswomencamelargelyfromtheyoungeragegroupof2029,
    amongwomeninslumsdrinkingwasmorecommonamongolderwomenof40yearsandabove.
    Mostdrinkerswerefirstinitiatedtodrinkingwhentheywerebetween2029years.Therewas,however,afairnumberwhohadhadtheirfirst
    drinkbeforetheywere20years.
