Work Description
:
Perform NDT Inspection activities as details follow:
o Thickness measurement of piping, pressure vessels, reactors for base
line data for RBI.
o Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT):
Perform visible Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Testing of
piping and pressure vessels; Magnetic Particle Testing with Yoke
method.
Engage in the visual inspection work of static equipment following clients
guideline and procedure.
To develop a Line List in the Excel Format and PDH Format. The list consisting
of Piping Class, CUI, Inspection System Number, Corrosion Isometric Number,
and Reason fox Exclusion, Line System Description, Injection Point, and Soil/Air
Interface, Design Data (e.g. Pressure, Temperature, Material of Construction,
Service, Diameter, Pipe Schedule, Nominal Thickness, and Required Thickness
etc.).
To identify the class number of each piping system.
To indicated the existent of injection point, soil/air interface, dead leg as well
as to mark up the develop MFD (Mechanical Flow Diagram) drawing for future
references and also to develop Corrosion Isometric Drawing.
Perform tracing line base on P&ID for piping and instrument device, MFD for
equipment. Ensure the direction, size, material, schedule, rating, type of
equipment, device, tagging name or serial number according to diagram.
Determine thickness measurement locations (TML) according with piping class
1 2 3 and 4.
To prepare a separate line list for the line included in the CLIENT scope of the
piping inspection program procedure.
To carried out Visual Inspection and report any abnormalities noted and also
marking the TML on site.

Responsibilities:
To preparation of shutdown package for static equipments (Columns,
Exchangers, Towers, Vessels & Reactor), Valve (PSV, Manual valves & Control
valve).
Shutdown packages includes drawing (P&ID & isometric), SAP Notification,
Equipment Box-up certificate, Flange Box-up certificate , Discipline
acceptance certificate, Function test acceptance report etc.
Co-ordinate with the contractor supervisor for the readiness of the equipment.
QC coordinator has to inspect before offering Pre cleaning, Post cleaning &
Final inspection with reliability, process & operation teams.
Perform a leak test and pop test for pressure safety valve, make sure flanges
facing in good condition without rusty and any inclusion.
To get the signature from RED, Operation, and Process & Turn around
representative in the Box-up certificate.
Once Box-up certificate is signed off, Flange face, Gasket, Bolt tightening has
to be inspected for mechanical integrity, Flange Box-up certificate to be

signed by QC coordinator.
Be familiar with studying of P&ID, GA drawings, isometric drawings, Valves
(Control Valve, PSV & Manual valve), Flange, Bolt torqueing, Gasket material
and types.
Once flange Box-up is completed, the discipline acceptance certificates to be
get signed by Work group leader and operation representative.
Once De-blinding completed for Equipment, Flange integrity to be checked for
all flanges whichever opened in shutdown and final dossier to be prepared.

Responsibilities:
Involve on Ethylene, Styrene, MTBE, CA/EDC and Utility plant for Mechanical
Integrity Project (MIP).
Trace all the suspected piping and equipment based on ISO and P&ID
according to Inspection Specialist MIP list.
Perform visual inspection as per API 570 and SADAF procedure on soil to air
interface, injection point, dead leg and corrosion under insulation of piping
circuit.
Support Central EE&I department RBI list for tank and equipment by external
inspection according to API 510, API 653 and SADAF procedure.
Surveillance including inspection for any condition of deterioration such as
external corrosion, vibration, painting, damage wrapping & insulation and etc.
Prepare the finding report, make recommendation and create notification for
the further inspection using NDT and repairs if required.
Update the data for corrosion rate, remaining life, next inspection date and VT
report in the MERIDIUM.
Update the progress and discuss with client during weekly meeting.

I have gained valuable working skills and experiences during the past 3 years of my
career. As a summary, my capabilities are in the area of:
Corrosion monitoring of plant piping systems & static equipment (CML, TML,
RBI database. Knowledgeable in understanding technical diagrams such as
PFD, P&ID, General Assembly drawings)
Inspection & Conventional NDT (Welding Inspection, Inspection of static
equipment, Inspection of pipings, PT, MT & UT Thickness Measurement)
Perform a leak test and pop test for pressure safety valve, make sure flanges
facing in good condition without rusty and any inclusion.
Perform a harness test, ferrite, and PMI (positive material identity- SPECTRO
machine. according chemical composition) after heat treatment according to
the material, For example duplex F51, F53, F55 and etc.
Visual and dimension for the manufacturing part from forging like Flanges (RJ
& RF facing), reducer, test ring and etc. Base on drawing and following
standard, tolerance and acceptance criteria according ASME.
