Towards a Multi Dimensional Mind

Keep the spine straight hands on the knees and for few moments close your eyes, relax
the whole body in the sitting posture, with awareness of the body bring your attention to
the eye brow center, and there visualize the image, the symbol of a candle flame and
with the attention fix to the imaginary symbol flame breath in deeply and chant the
mantra OM three times with me all together. Om, Om, Om. Repeat after me, Om Shanti,
Shanti, Shanti Hi, Hari Om. Hari Om Tat Set. Slowly open your eyes and relax. Hari
Om.
Once again, I have the opportunity to visit this country which is very close to our hearts,
and to spend few moments with all of you, and to discuss about a subject which is very
close to our aspirations in life, and that subject is Yoga. As you have heard, my guru
Swami Satyananji came to Colombia in the year 1970, and after that, Yoga was
introduced to this country, by a small group of people, who became the founding
members of the Satyananda yoga movement in this country and still continue to head it.
And in course of time when the ashram was established here, and some of us came to
serve the mission in the center, we also had the opportunity to investigate the ancient
pre-Columbian cultures and to see what kind of spiritual traditions they had. And there
was a surprise waiting for us in store. The surprise was, that we saw ample evidence of
yoga in the Pre-Columbian culture, and there is a park here, a national archeological
park, which is known as San Agustin. If you get an opportunity to visit that place, do it,
in future, whenever the situation, the local political situation and your pocket situation
permits.
But it is an interesting place, because there we see figures and statues carved maybe a
couple of thousands years ago, in traditional yoguic postures. And if we look at the
description of these postures then we find that the way of practicing them and the yoga
today are exactly the same. Statues in Vajrasana, statues in lotus posture, statues doing
head stand, statues in scorpion pose. And not only in postures but also the other aspects
of Hatha Yoga which are not commonly known in the west. Such as the Agnisan Kriya,
the Noli, contraction of the abdominal muscles, the practices of concentration and
meditation. And these statues depicted the ancient practices of Yoga in exactly the same
manner that we know yoga today. And that let us to believe that yoga was a world wide
culture once upon a time. And off course, today we have higher buildings and wider
highways. But we also have shorter temperaments and narrower points of view. Today
we have been able to investigate the outer space, but not the inner space. Today we have
more knowledge but less wisdom, and today we have more medicines but less health.
Today we have increased our compromises but we have less time, today we have
increased the income, but we have lessen our moral values. And this is the society, in
which we live, and this is the society which inspires to progress, and it seems to be a big
contradiction between the normal behavior and life style of this society and our own
aspiration. And this is a contradiction of our life. That we aspire something but are yet
unable to change our environment and the present, and possibly the main theme of this
conference and yoga, the discovery of the inner space, the discovery of the inner nature.
Then it does not matter whether you have taller buildings or narrower roads, because
you, your points of view, and your abilities are bigger and better , you may have less
money but enjoy more health. You may have smaller homes but bigger families; today
we have finer homes, houses, but many broken homes. So we have to see how we are

able to discover a process which can help us come in contact with our inner self. And
the ancient civilizations of the world, whom the modern civilizations calls pagan and
backward had the understanding, and the knowledge and the wisdom to realize the inner
self. And this is what we see depicted in the statues of San Agustin. I am introducing
yoga in Colombia and as it was practiced in this culture before it was lost to the human
civilization. And also in San Agustin we found many statues depicting the symbologies
and the philosophies and the concepts of yoga in relation to energy and consciousness,
in relation to the vitality, the primordial force, that creativity in relation to the psychic
centers that exist in our body depicted in these statues. There are two statues which
stand predominately in my mind today. If you look these statues from the back you will
find that at the base of the statue there is an inverted triangle, and from the inverted
triangle ascends the figure of a snake, coming to the crown of the head, and the
serpents head is on top of the human head. That is one image, and the other image, is
again of the triangle, with three lines moving from the base of the spine to top of the
spine, where they merge at the eye brow center. And when we looked at these statues we
said that this is the concept of Kundalini Yoga, the spiritual component of yoga, the
mystical component of yoga. And in this manner the entire philosophy of yoga and
spiritual life was seen depicted in the symbols, which one could see in these different
statues. And from this we can infer that the ancient civilizations also had a drive, an
aspiration to discover their connection with the universe, and with cosmos, although
their methods may not be understood by us today, although their philosophies may not
be understood by us today, but they definitely had a philosophy, and a way of life, and a
science and subject and a practice, which was very much part of their culture, which
was very much part of their civilization, and this was known as Yoga in the later days.
When Swami Satyananji came to Colombia, in the early seventies, at that time, nobody
knew what yoga was, and it was seen more as a body culture or as spiritual culture,
different understanding where there, in the early seventies I had the opportunity to travel
around the world and know what people thought about yoga.
While in Europe I found people used to practice yoga to trim their waist line and to
improve the beauty of their body. In Colombia people used to practice yoga not for their
body but for their mind and spiritual development, and it was for this reason that
Swamiji loved coming to Colombia again and again, and again and again, because he
said this is where people understand Yoga as a subject of life and not as a practice to
trim their waist line and to look beautiful. And possibly because of this reason we have
seen a vibrant tradition of yoga in this country which has attracted us and that has
bought us here h again and again and the same spirit we find in the people in this
country and of this continent. The spirit of the people of this country and in this
continent reflects the search, the quest for knowledge for and understanding of
themselves. And our grandfather guru Swami Sivananji, used to tell us, that look always
try to expand your horizons of knowledge, always try to understand, the needs of
yourself and other people and always try to extent a helping hand to everyone who
needs it. And I am telling you this because in his teaching acquisition of knowledge is
the first thing that a human being can do to improve the quality of his life. And this
acquisition of knowledge is not external but internal, this acquisition of knowledge is to
know the various dimension and aspect of human personality and mind and to improve
them so that the creativity and peace and contentment become the natural expressions
and experiences of ones life.

Swami Sivananda was a medical doctor, and being a doctor he knew, the subject of
science, human anatonomy, physiology and mind. And he made an effort to remove
yoga from the trappings of mysticism, and to teach yoga in a very practical and
systematical form, so that we can discover ourselves. But yoga is much more ancient
that the teachings of Swami Sivananda, which we became exposed in the last century.
Yoga is a much more ancient subject, and the purpose of yoga was to provide a method
to the individual to experience well being in life, physical health, mental awareness and
tranquility and spiritual upliftment. Physical health, mental tranquility and spiritual
upliftment are the three main aims of yoguic practices. And the physical practices of
yoga are known as asanas and pranayamas, postures and breathing techniques. Mental
practices of yoga are known as pratyahara and harana techniques of relaxation and
developing awareness and technique of developing concentration. The spiritual
practices of yoga can be experienced; the spiritual dimensions of yoga can be
experienced when you practice meditation. And this is how originally the system of
yoga developed, later on many people provided and added different inputs, practices,
concepts and theories to this body of yoga. According to their discovery, according to
their understanding of human nature, human behavior and human possibilities, because
we have to understand that we all have come endowed with the possibilities and
capacities and qualities which can make us better and whose misused can make us
worse. Everybody has different potentials in them which are untapped, everybody has
the creative dimension of their personality which is not yet awaken, and in the absence
of this awakening, in the absence of this awakening of inner creativity, in the absence of
the awakening of human personality in our life we have conflict, confusion. But the
yoguis have believed that although in our life in the period from birth to death we go
through many different experiences related to the senses and mind, there is the
possibility of improving and modifying, transforming the limited expressions of the
senses, of the mind, of the emotions. And to convert them, convert the emotions,
convert the thoughts, convert the feelings into more expansive and more outreaching,
and more peaceful expression of life. And so this is the beginning of yoga, this is the
beginning of yoga.
Many thousands of years later, in the last century it was Swami Sivananda who brought
the practical aspects of yoga to public, prior Swami Sivananda there were many people
who spoke on the subject but it was all theory and not practice. Swami Sivananda and
his disciples brought yoga to public in form of a practical and scientific subject. And in
this, more work was done by Swami Satyananda, and I am telling you very frankly that
if you are aware of the history of yoga, you will find that all the systems of yoga that are
practiced today in the world; the systems of pranayamas, the systems of kriya yoga and
kundalini yoga, the systems of mantra, the sound vibrations, and the different
discoveries in the body of yoga, the physical practices, the mental practices, the
spiritual practices were all discoveries of Swami Satyananda when he researched into
the old concepts, and theories, and literatures of yoga. And therefore, I am proud to
belong to a tradition who has discovered yoga, who is not only teaching yoga but
discovering yoga. I am proud to belong to a tradition which takes the essence of yoga
from the ancient past, from the forgotten past and converts this practice for a better,
brighter future of humanity, I am proud to belong to such traditions, because I have
seen, the sequence, and the development of yoga in the context of modern society, and
their need of its application in modern society. Although, I am not happy with the
development of yoga globally, because I still find that the teachers and the centers of
yoga are still caught up in the physical sell only: stretch your body to the right, stretch

your body to the left, and that is yoga for them. No, that is not yoga. Stretching is not
yoga, stability is yoga, and stability of body, stability of mind, stability of emotion,
stability of feelings, that is yoga. And that is what we need today as human beings,
stable, stable, life. And this stable life can be interpreted in many different ways, but
from yoguic perspective a stable life means a balanced life, a harmonious life; a life in
which you are the master of your actions and mind, a life in which you are able to direct
your energies to become happy and contend in life. And this is the yoga that I
understand; I do not understand the physical yoga at all. Nor do I understand the
spiritual yoga, But I understand a practical yoga who can guide one from body to mind,
to emotions, to spirit. And let me give you one example, I have given this example
many times, you might have heard also, but is the appropriate example that tells how
yoga can be experienced. What is the most important part of a tree? The roots. And if
roots are taken care of, the tree is strong. But if roots are not taken care of, if there is no
water, no compost, no fertilizer, no care, then the tree will become weak. And one
tempest will bring the tree down. If you want to ensure that the tree is strong; you have
to look after the roots. In the same manner, if you want to ensure the quality of life, if
you want to ensure that life is strong and healthy, then we have to look after the roots of
life, and the root of life is the spirit. The spirit which is luminous but hidden. We can,
we have a concept that spirit exists but we do not know where it is, or how to
experience it. Body is something definite, material, which we can touch, feel, and
experience, so we identify with our body. Mind is there, which we experience in form of
thoughts, and feelings, desires, expectations and ambitions. And therefore we can accept
the existence of mind, because there is an experience of mind. There is an understanding
of spirit but we do not know how to experience the spirit. And Swami Sivananji as well
as Swami Satyananda the leaders of our tradition, the inspirers of our tradition have
mentioned that yoga allows one to connect with ones own spirit, and once that
connection has taken place, the quality of mind changes, the quality of life changes, the
well being of body changes. And therefore, from this perspective yoga means union, of
the individual consciousness with the higher consciousness.
Connection with spirit represents the union with the individual consciousness with the
higher consciousness. And this heart consciousness in its pure form is known as god,
not the Spanish word Dios, but the English word God. Because in this English word
God, we encounter the three qualities of spirit, the quality of generation, which is the G,
the quality of organization which is the O, and the quality of destruction and change and
transformation which is the D. So the word G O D represents the quality of
generation/creation, the quality of preservation and maintenance and the quality of
destruction and transformation. And these are the three strengths of human spirit. And
when we experience these three qualities at our level, in our dimension then these
qualities belong to the individual self. You have the ability to create, you have the ability
to maintain and manage and you also have the ability to change something by
transforming it, by destroying it, and by making something new come up. And the
individual spirit which is containing these three qualities and interacting in the outer
world is what makes and individual a human being, but the same thing at internal level
with greater awareness, with greater clarity, with greater wisdom, connects you with
that consciousness which is all pervasive. And the philosophers have said that this is the
union which yoga aspires for, coming together of the individual spirit with the cosmic
spirit, union between the two.

And the philosophers and the intellectuals have taken this definition of yoga to create an
image of mysticisms and spirituality in the body of yoga, but let me tell you very clearly
that yoga is not mysticism. It used to be thought was upon a time that it was mysticism,
by those who did not know what mysticism was, and anything beyond their senses was
considered to be mystic. After all you also dream at night. And when you sleep at night
you are not aware of the body, you are not aware of the senses, but you yet you dream.
Why do not you classify your dream as a mystical dream? Who is dreaming? Senses
are inactive, mind is disconnected from time and space and object. Then who is
dreaming that time? You said I dream this. Why do not you say that was a mystical
thing, something beyond the senses, something beyond the sensorial connections with
the world of objects? Yet, you do not call that a mystical experience. Then how can
meditation, in which you are guiding yourself step by step, step by step to discover
yourself be called a mystical experience? Am I clear? Are you able to understand what I
am trying to say? Mysticism is a trapping, mysticism is a name given to certain
experiences of yoga which people have not yet been able to understand. Because they
do not know the sequence, they do not know the process. If you remember when the
cameras first came out, and people used to take pictures of other people, there used to be
a belief that the spirit was being captured in the camera. And many people would not
even take their pictures, because that was the belief: my spirit is being captured in that
camera. Today, anyone of you thinks in that manner? No, because now an understanding
has developed, now an awareness has develop, a knowledge has come, that no is not the
captured of the human spirit in the film, but only the image of the body. So just as, you
have gone one transformation, and understanding of a process of an event. In the same
manner you have to go through understanding of yoga, and then you will discover that
is not mysticism, mysticism is that which is unknown to ourselves. Mysticism is that
which we can not define and therefore we say that is something beyond mind and
mystical, but yoga is not that. Rather it is a simple way and a sequential process of
knowing what the body is, and how the body responds to different situations, stresses
and tensions of our normal day to day life.
Yoga is a system of knowing what our minds is, and how the mind is influenced by
various situations and events, and circumstances. And you know is a very tricky thing.
If I in here, I call you a dog, you will thing you are a dog, because you will react. I give
you one example, in India one day a person comes to me, and says, Swamiji I have lot
of mental problems, and tensions and hypertension and I cant sleep at night. And I said,
what happened? And since when? The man says, for the last six months I am having
terrible time, Why?, I cant sleep at night, I have high blood pressure, I feel very
stressed, there is not happiness in my life. I said to him, look you are telling me the
symptoms, can you tell me the cause? When did it happen? How did it happen? What
was the trigger point? And he said yes, I can tell you the cause to, the reason of why I
am feeling like this. In my house one day, my wife became very angry at me, no, not
wife but daughter-in-law, wife of the son, daughter-in-law became very angry at me,
and she said, you are a dog. And since that time I could not accept that my daughter-inlaw called me a dog and I am suffering. I asked him a question, when she called you a
dog, what kind of image did you create in your mind of a dog? He said, a street dog,
malnourished, fleece on his body, one leg up, wobbling on three. And I said yes, that
imagination is the cause of your hypertension, and stress and anxiety. First reason, you
have started to belief you are a dog, and second reason you identify with a street dog,
why dont you think that you are a dog in a mansion, traveling in an air conditioned car,
living in a beautiful home, and enjoying life? And he said, Swamiji please do not make

jokes, I am very serious about my problem. And I told him, no it is not a joke, I am also
very serious with my answer. You go back, and for one week you meditate you are
happy dog. Believe me, after one week, this person comes back and tells me, and says,
Swamiji I do not have hypertension, and I sleep well at night. This is a true story by the
way, it is a true event. And the moment he changed his own visualizations and his own
perceptions of himself, he became alright. Now I am telling you this story as an
example, to show how we became influence by other people. If someone accuses me,
you are a dog, then it hurts me, my self-esteem, my sense of ego, and I am not able to
drop that and let it go. When it release to me I become the center of that experience, and
pain and suffering, and joy and happiness and whatever it contains. And in the same
manner, just as that person was unable to let go of a thought, we are also unable to let go
of our own head trips, and heartaches, and headaches. And this inhibits the creativity of
mind and consciousness. And this is where yoga comes in the mental component of
yoga. Ok, find your balance, find your peace, find your happiness by observing and
understanding the influences and situations and the circumstances that affects us all the
time. And once this mental inner peace is attained, then the spiritual life, the spiritual
component of yoga begins.
And the spiritual component of yoga is a very interesting subject, I am just going to
give a hint today, and not developed on the subject now. That is the topic of the coming
days. You know when I read different books by different authors, who have written
something on philosophy, or literature, or yoga or spiritual subjects, one idea which I
come across, they say a person has to become a warrior in order to win in life. They say
that in spiritual life, the aspirant has to be like a warrior, who fights and overcome the
negativity, and the shortcomings, and the weaknesses and is the winner. But, this idea,
this concept, is against the spiritual precepts and principles of yoga. What are the
spiritual principles of yoga? Spiritual principle of yoga says do not be a warrior, be a
farmer. There is no use of gaining victory over the blood of other people, with death and
destructions and suffering. But there is beauty in being a farmer, because you plant the
seeds, and you look after them, you ensure their security and growth, and later on enjoy
it. So the spiritual life, the concept of spiritual life in yoga, is the concept of be,
becoming a farmer of our own lives. And what does a farmer do? Once upon a time, a
man purchased a barren piece of plot, nothing used to grow on it, only rocks and thorns
that is all. And this man after purchasing this barren piece of land worked very hard, and
converted that into a beautiful garden, and the garden was so beautiful that people used
to come from all over the country to look at it. So one day, without meaning any offence
to anybody, a priest comes to look at the garden and he looks at the garden and
exclaims, wow what a wonderful garden, God must have put a lot of effort to create this
beauty. And this man who was showing the garden, said to the priest, sorry this is my
hard work, you should have seen this piece of land when God own it. You should have
seen this piece of land when God own it. Well, this is a joke. But the point here is that a
barren piece of land can be converted into a beautiful garden with your effort. And that
is the spiritual aspect of yoga.
You have to look at your life, and make your life into a garden and what you sow on it,
what you sow in this garden? The positive qualities, the inner strengths, the convictions
and will power and understanding and wisdom, the compassion and love, the desires of
service, and purification. And these are the qualities which define progressions of
spiritual life. Remember that life is not suffering or survival, but life is a sequence of
moments of happiness, and joy and bliss. Life is a sequence of moments of happiness,

and joy and bliss. If you capture those moments of happiness, if you capture those
moments of bliss, if you capture those moments of joy, then you live a full life, because
you create a sequence in them, a continuity in them. But if you think of life as suffering,
struggling and surviving then you do not see any beauty in life at all. And in the
spiritual component of yoga when we begin to plant the positive seeds, they convert the
quality of our life, and the conversion of the quality of the life, makes you a yogui. In
Sanskirt there are three words, yogui, means the practitioner of yoga, hogui, means
enjoyer, and rhogui means the deceased one. Yogui, hogui and rhogui, something tough
for the translator to translate. And in normal life, we are in the middle path, hogua,
enjoyment. That is our search drive, that is our drive, that is our motivation. As long as
this enjoyment is balanced you become a yogui, But if this enjoyment is imbalanced,
you become a, what was the name? Rhogui, yeah. So hogua, or hogui means one who
enjoys, one who lives, one who acts, one who is part of the whole world. All of us who
are sitting here are hoguis, the enjoyers. But there is a drive in us, which makes the
drive for pleasure more, and more, and more, and as the drive for pleasure becomes
more intense in our life, we become more materialistic. We become more materialistic,
and therefore we move into stages of imbalances, which lead to ill health of body and
mind and emotions and spirit. But if we are able to regulate, our enjoyments, and if we
are able to direct our efforts, towards this balance then we become a yogui. A person
who experiences the harmony in life.
So, in this entire system of yoga the effort, or the attempt is not to make you enlightened
or spiritual and believe me, in my opinion and from my understanding, and from what
little experienced I have had, enlightenment is an outcome, realization is an outcome,
of a balanced personality. Realization is an outcome of a harmonious personality, a
personality which is not in conflict with itself. Which is not in conflict with other
people, or situations, or conditions in life. But is equipoise, and therefore I do not
subscribe to the idea that one can become enlightened, I do not subscribe to that idea,
enlightenment is fantasy. I am not that yogui who speaks that enlightenment is the
ultimate goal in life, I am a person who speaks that mind management is the goal of life,
because the rest is only an outcome of that inner harmony that you are able to
experience through the yoguic practices of meditation, of awareness, of contemplation
by cultivating the different qualities within yourself. And this is the aim of yoga, this is
the aim of yoga, because at this point yoga does not only remains a practice, it becomes
a life style. Yoga does not remain a practice only, rather it becomes a part of a life style.
And this is the approach to experience yoga by making it into a life style. And the
attempt during this conference will be that you shall be practicing different practices,
and techniques and systems of yoga during these three days. But at the same time, there
will be enough input to inspire and encourage all of us to adopt yoga as a life style and
not as a practice. If it is a practice then it does not do something to oneself, because is
something you do in a classroom, and you do not carry with you outside. But if it is a
life style it then remains with you twenty-four hours of the day no matter where you are,
in what situation you are, in what circumstances you are, you live yoga.
And that is the combination that we wish to see, that is the grand finale we wish to see.
We do not wish to see somebody who can practice meditation for eight hours without
moving the body. No, useless thing to do. Believe me is the useless thing to do. What
will you do? Eight hours with closed eyes, wasting your time in some mental
imaginations and fantasies? Please dont mind me saying all of these, because it is the
truth. What you can do, by applying yourself in life will give you more returns that by

closing your eyes. And therefore you have to understand that yoga is not escaping from
life but running into life with arms open, and with attitude of acceptance. And with the
attitude of improving your ability to perform, to think, and to understand.
So although the subject of yoga is very vast and we are going to try to cover all the
various subjects, systematically and sequentially, today I have tried to give you the basic
foundation of yoga, by emphasizing few points. That we begin with the body with the
purpose of improving the well being of the body, attaining the peace of mind and
experiencing spiritual awakening. These three have to be taken together, so that the
roots of our life are strong, and can withstand every kind of storm, or tempest that
comes our way. The spiritual and the mystical experiences are the outcome of a trained
and educated mind; a mind which has been disciplined, a mind which has been trained,
a mind which has been awakened with input of different attitudes and qualities which
uplift human consciousness. Which uplift human consciousness, after all you know, we
talk a lot, love a little and hate a lot. That is the general trend of people. People talk a
lot, love a little and hate a lot, dislike a lot. Now, talk less, love lot and hate less. How
long are we going to subject ourselves to the agonies which are self-created, because of
our egos, and ambitions, and dislikes? Some time we have to connect with the positive
self, and yoga provides the means to connect with the positive self. Yoga provides a
connection with the creative self, and this creative self, this positive self is nourished
and nurtured by the positive qualities. The quality of love, the quality of compassion,
the quality of purity, the quality of understanding, these are the different qualities which
we need to cherish in our life. Because they make us a real being and this has been the
teaching of all the spiritual traditions, which we have somehow missed and neglected,
so yoga allows us to conquer our inner space. And this has been the teaching of the
swamis of our tradition, and also the teaching in which we encounter in the preColumbian culture, in this country.
And therefore there are two countries in the world which support yoga, there are many
countries in the world that practice yoga, no doubt, like in Denmark the statistics are
that seventy percent of the population practice yoga, this is the statistics of Denmark;
Sweden forty-five percent of the population practices yoga; Australia the biggest
exercise group in Australia is yoguic exercises, more so than aerobic. There was a
survey done and yoga was first and aerobic was next in Australia. So one can imagine
there are many countries in the world who practice yoga. But there are very few
countries in the world which have the potential to experience and to live yoga, and yes
one of them is India and Colombia in another one of them. And possibly not only
Colombia but the South American countries, because this yoguic culture extends in the
Andes is not restricted to a geographic location, but it is, just as energy moves in the
spine, yoga has moved through the Andes, through the South American countries. And
here we find people who are very pure, and sincere seekers, who given the right
opportunity, and training and teaching can again live that yoguic way of life and
experience union with other beings and with cosmos. And this union is the expression of
love; this union is the expression of compassion. Union without love and union without
compassion has no meaning. After all if you meet somebody, you meet with a feeling of
love, you meet with a feeling of being one with that person, there is sympathy, there is
empathy, there is affection, there is love, there is compassion, there is oneness. So union
without love and compassion has no meaning, in fact union is no union without love
and compassion. Union is not union without purity and service, it is an attitude of mind,
a self-less attitude of mind, a positive attitude of mind, a constructive attitude of mind.

So the, in brief, in a nutshell, yoga is a process of sublimating the normal and the
natural behaviors of the person, to a point where it becomes universal, it comes out of
the personal shell, and please remember that coming out of the personal shell is what
yoga teaches us to do. For the seed to sprout the seed has to die first, the shell is broken,
the shell of the seed is broken and only when the shell of the seed is broken, we will
sprout the seed, and in the same manner yoga helps us to break the shell of selfishness
and egocentricity. And allow the spiritual sprouting to take place, in which there is
beauty, and the there is shade, calmness and peace. And this is what we look forward for
our life, and in today society. And we shall be discussing on these subjects, over the few
next days and practicing the techniques of yoga to experience this physical well-being,
the psychological well-being and to get some hints on how to improve our spiritual life.
Because as you might have guessed, although I am speaking of yoga, I am not
representing yoga, I am representing a particular tradition of yoga, which is known as
Satyananda Yoga, and this tradition in todays world is the most dynamic and vibrant
tradition. So if you want to hear about yoga, you wont hear that, you will hear about
Satyananda Yoga, because this is the yoga which I know, integrating the component of
body mind and spirit. And this will become the basis of our interaction, the basis of our
interaction in the coming days. Hari Om Tat Set.
