I Would Ensure Good Governance if

given an opportunity by
There are many attributes associated
with the term Good governance and
every individual would have their own
definition of the term, say for example a
street vendor would say getting
groceries in the ration shop without any
hindrance is Good Governance while an
economist would suggest that less
inflation and achieving good stock
market values is Good Governance. But
when it comes to a person with a
national agenda and if I have a post in
my hands, inevitably it becomes my
responsibility to cater the needs and
dreams of all sects of the society. The
following are some things that I would
put into effect to ensure Good
Governance.
TEAM WORK
The first and foremost factor in
achieving anything let alone good

Governance is Team Work; it is not only

the job of politicians and bureaucrats
but it is in the hands of every citizen of
the nation to achieve this equilibrium.
We all realize this but are hesitant to
acknowledge that as it also our
responsibility. I would try to make
people realize this.
EDUCATION
As the great leader Nelson Mandela
saysEducation is the most powerful weapon
which you can use to change the world.
If the dream of education for all is
realized our nation would be
unstoppable in the realms of growth.
Here a question arises that how can this
be possible? Firstly, youngsters should
be encouraged to take up teaching
profession; since many are reluctant to
this they could change their minds if
they realize the satisfaction and

fulfilment this would give them. I dont

deny that there are still some socioeconomic constraints in achieving this
motto and currently it is still a distant
dream but if every one of us works
towards this it is a chase able dream.
Also I would encourage students to take
up Vocational courses, which may lead to
good inputs in all sectors of the Industry.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
It is an undeniable fact that good
number of successful start-ups would
enhance economic growth and take our
country towards self-sustenance.
Indians right from the past have been
good entrepreneurs and continue to be
so and many with this potential are still
not able to achieve their dream due to
financial constraints. If given an
opportunity I would introduce a scheme
of state funded loans without interest
for young entrepreneurs. Well this is
also associated with Make in India this

is scheme has been introduced in the

right time where the manufacturing
sector of the Indian Economy is in a lag
due to huge imports.
ENERGY RESOURCES
The need of the hour is alternate energy
resource and enough amount of
electricity as we all know many parts of
the country are suffering from power
shortage. To overcome this challenge
(There are no problems only
challenges) if given an opportunity I
would try to implement the use of
alternate energy resources such as Wind
energy, solar energy, nuclear energy and
there are still many energy sources that
need funding and research which I would
try to scrutinize . It is indeed true that a
countrys economy is judged by its
energy resources.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

My heart aches when I think there are

not even one Fields medalist and very
few Nobel Laureates from our country.
Isnt this an achievable dream with a
population of more than one billion? If
given an opportunity I would invest a
significant sum in this industry. This
would also lead to a decrease in the rate
of brain drain having a positive effect on
our country.
EMPLOYMENT AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT
There is a recent trend of huge amount
of unemployment among graduate
individuals which virtually tempt them to
indulge in unsocial activities like crimes
and robbery. Essentially and idle mans
mind is a devils workshop. One solution
to this challenge is entrepreneurship
which we have already discussed.
Yet another way of resolving this is skill
development among the countrymen and
encouraging them to work in their
desired field irrespective of their

educational qualifications in the sense

that if they are not able to acquire a job
in their respective fields.
CORRUPTION
I really feel shameful about Indias
corruption history right from bribe in
municipal office to get your documents
done to very huge scams and black
money in Swiss bank. According to me
the one and only solution to this is
inculcating values among individuals and
especially children who are the pillars of
tomorrow. Well I dont contradict the
fact that it is easier said than done the
only thing I could assure of is it is not
impossible.
INCREASING CRIME RATE
We tend to hear and read a lot of crimes
in present day scenario right from chain
snatches to rapes. While the permanent
solution to this challenge goes back to

value education temporary solution can

be fast trials.
POVERTY
Illiteracy is directly proportional to
poverty. Education and employment
opportunities are the only means to
eradicate poverty. Where a countrys
poor thrive, the nation thrives.
Well, I have outlined all the things that
have come to my mind right now and
even this definition of mine may change
over time as I get more mentally mature
and when more things come to my
knowledge but the only thing that will
remain unchanged is the dream that I
visualize for my nation. As our former
president Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam puts it
eloquentlyDream is not that which you see while
sleeping it is something that does not let
you sleep.

I share and chase this dream of mine

with 121 crore other fellow countrymen,
all I can assure to my mother India is I
will work tirelessly towards achieving
this dream.
From recent developments it is evident
that slowly and steadily we are heading
towards good Governance what seemed
to be a distant dream is coming near to
us.
But undoubtedly SKY IS THE LIMIT.
