PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• Responsible for expanding the plastic card personalization segment of business to a
twenty-four-seven operation. This implementation included the addition of
Supervisors, hourly staff including operators and mechanics. Resulted in the company
becoming the “major player” on the East Coast producing 2.5MM cards weekly and
generating $1.5MM annually.
•Quickly assessed declining market conditions and developed a strategy focusing on the
need to trim expenses. This initiative resulted in savings in excess of $600K over an
eighteen-month period. Allowed business unit to deliver its best ever net on
investment results while top-line revenues were diminishing.
•Facilitated the development of a Custom Projects department within the production area
that boosted top-line revenue. Since all of this work was non-traditional fulfillment, it
allowed for increased profit margins.
•Initiated the addition of a second shift. All non-traditional same day fulfillment was
completed during this time. This allowed the first shift to focus on the same day
fulfillment requirements.
•Instituted “Best Practices & Procedures” manuals for each of seven departments within
a production/fulfillment environment that handles upwards of 100MM documents
annually.
•Implemented aggressive cross-training program that allowed for the quick transfer of
resources between departments. Proved very effective during the time when
temporary labor cuts were being initiated.
•Instrumental in the creation of two specialty retail divisions for a national mail order
catalog company.
•Credited with producing over $75MM in annual sales through strategic store openings,
product selection, and a timely, effective advertising/marketing program.
•Responsible for the creation of a 68-page welding supplies catalog which produced
$250K in additional sales in its first 90 days
