(1) Explain the wave communication and line communication with sufficient details. (3)
(2) State Ampere’s law and derive expression for magnitude of magnetic induction at a point near a
long straight conductor carrying a current I. (3)
(3) Show that energy of an electron in stationary orbit is inversely proportional to radius of the orbit. (3)

Q.5. Attempt any TWO of the following:
(1) In bi prism the distance between the slit and the eye piece is 1m. Wavelength of light used is 5600A.
When a convex lens is kept at a distance of 30cm from the slit, the distance between two virtual images is
0.7mm. Find the distance between 8th bright band & 3rd bright band on same side of central bright band. (4)
(2) Find the magnetic induction and magnetic potential due to a magnetic dipole of moment 4 Am2 at a
point at a distance of 2m from its centre along the line making an angle of 30o with equator. (4)
(3) A capacitor of 20µ F is connected in series with 25ohm resistance to peak emf 240V, 50Hz A.C.
Calculate (1) the capacitive reactance of circuit (2) impedance of the circuit and
(3) maximum current in the circuit (4)
