BILINGUALISM PROGRAM

THE PAST SIMPLE TENSE


The Past Simple describes actions that began and finished sometime in the past. To
study and understand this tense its necessary to split the verbs in two groups:
a. Regular Verbs.
b. Irregular Verbs.

As you can see in the chart above, there are 3 possibilities to transform Regular verbs
in past form: -d, -ed, -ied. Ask the teacher for the correct pronunciation of these verbs
in past form.

As you can see again, these verbs dont end in -d, -ed or ied because theyre
Irregular verbs, so you have to learn by heart how they are modified in their past
forms. Can you explain their change? Ask your teacher for further information on this.
