The CCCNJ Weekly Prayer Requests

Scripture: “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will
receive, and your joy will be complete." (John 16:24)

Weekly Theme: “The Ministries of Chinese School and Evangelism”

1. Pray for the Chinese School teachers in regard to their family, physical, and spiritual well-
being, and pray that their services in Chinese School are filled with love from God.
2. Pray that the teachers know how to teach students with words from the Bible; Pray that
the students have a fear of God in reverence, have a respect to parents, have a loving heart; have
a good health, and have a peace of life; Pray that the work of the Chinese school will glorify God
and edify people.
3. Pray that the Chinese School will become a soul-saving and gospel-preaching channel to
reach out to those unbelieving young children and their families so that they can be saved and
accept Jesus Christ as their savior.
4. Pray for the newly established “Local Gospel Mission Committee” that God will provide us
a clear vision so that we can set up the priority of ministries in accordance with His will, and
develop short-term and mid-term strategies to encourage all the church believers to become His
priests to reach out to different kinds of people in our local regions.
5. Pray God to inspire each of us at CCCNJ to have a burden of soul saving, and to know
that “go and make disciples of all nations” is Lord’s great commission that all churches and
Christians should follow.
6. Prayer for the members of the “Local Gospel Mission Committee” ( Elder Yang, Hank
Sun, William Zhou, Kai Hsieh, Danny Ho, Bai 黎 明 , Fred Huang, Chueng Lui ) in regard to
themselves, their family, their service and their job.
7. Pray for the Mission organizations﹕ Far East Bible Training; Missionaries﹕ Scarlet
Hwuang, and Seminary student﹕ Wey Wang (Nyack); Also pray for the peace and safety of
those brothers and sisters who are on overseas short-term missions.

---English and Youth Ministry:

1. Pray for youths and adults as they pray for direction on their participation in STM.
2. Pray for FEAST as the series on 2 Corinthians this week recent attendance been low.
3. Pray for lessons learned in the ‘Truth Project’ have impact in the life of the attendees.
4. Pray for the 6 fellowship groups and the leaders. Pray that more people who are not in any regular
fellowship will come to attend.
5. Upcoming winter retreat: Feb. 12-14: that the youths may encounter Jesus.
6. Chinese New Year celebration (2/13): that the neighbors may come and return to worship with us.
--- People:
1. Health of the many who are suffering: Tim’s neck, Fenny’s spine, Mauro’s prostate cancer treatment,
Elder Lee’s health, Anna Chau’s shoulder, Amy’s shoulder
2. Job seeking: Fred, Jill, Rob.
3. Lee: Ray, Angela, Abby, Jenna
4. Ahokas: Jim, Debbie, Jennifer, Michael
--- Children Ministry:
1. Please pray for ages 2 & 3 Sunday school teachers: Lily Cui and Lina Chen; assistants: Ren Li and Lillian
Xie. Pray that the Lord give them strength as they plant the seeds of children’s faith.
2. Please pray for all parents as they build good characters in their children, the Lord will give them wisdom
and patience.
--- National:
1. Victims and rescue workers in Haiti due to the earthquake.
2. Burglaries that are happening locally as people get desperate.
