Mechanical Function Check

Lubricate all door locks/hinges/joints


Lubricate bonnet secondary latch
Check security of bonnet catch and check that the bonnet
secondary catch moves freely over its whole travel and
returns smartly under spring pressure
Check/adjust polyvee drive belt tension, renew if necessary
Adjust handbrake cables if necessary
Check handbrake security
Check condition of handbrake pads
Inspect brake pad wear and condition of discs and calipers.
At 60% down worn replace brake pads and pad wear
warning leads.
Check front brake disc shields for fatigue/cracks around
braces and for clearance to discs
Check and renew wiper blade inserts (if necessary)
Renew wiper blades
Inspect cooling pack radiator/condenser and transmission
cooler for debris and clean out if necessary
Check condition and operation of all seat belts and buckles
Check security of exhaust system mountings and heatshields
Check security and condition of cooling system hoses
Check security and condition of air conditioning hoses
Check security and condition of suspension ball joints,
gaiters, bushes and fixings
Check tightness of drive shaft bolts
Check rear view mirror for security and function
Check the condition of underbody protection/wheel arch
liners
Clean throttle butterflies

Note:
To ensure maximum customer satisfaction it is recommended that a road test is carried out prior to commencement of maintenance services, as well as afterwards.
Regardless of low service mileage, time intervals should always be actioned to ensure optimum vehicle condition and customer satisfaction
