Flushing
Flushing
Flushing is ducted through two concentric tubes, the
outer one for air and the inner one for water. This
means that flushing air is provided as soon as the
compressed air is switched on. The purpose is to
prevent water from entering the percussion
mechanism of the rock drill.

Pressure adjustment
Air pressure
Ensure that the compressor can deliver the required
air pressure of 46 bar to the machine.
1. High pressure causes rough operation and
excessive wear.
2. Low pressure results in a slow drilling speed.
Water pressure
The water pressure must be at least 1 bar lower than
the air pressure otherwise water can enter the impact
mechanism. For example if the air pressure is 6 bar,
the water pressure must be below 5 bar to prevent
water entering the impact mechanism.

WARNING Ejected insertion tool
If the tool retainer on the machine is not in a locked
position, the inserted tool can be ejected with force,
which can cause personal injury.
Before changing the insertion tool, stop the
machine, switch off the compressed air supply
and bleed the machine by activating the start and
stop device.

Valve pin
When the valve pin is pushed in, the feed force stops
abruptly and the setting on the feed control lever is
overridden. The piston rod in the pusher leg rectracts
automatically. This function is used, for example to
adjust the height of the rock drill, when rigging up
the pusher leg, or when there is a tendency to jam.
When the valve pin is depressed, the feed control
lever is activated again.
Operating
Drilling
Use protective shoes, gloves, helmet, ear
protectors and impact resistant eye protection with
side protection.
Stand firmly and always hold the machine with
both hands.
Hold the inserted tool firmly against the work
surface before starting the machine.

Maintenance
1. Switch off the rock drill percussion and flushing
by means of the throttle lever (A).
2. Depress the valve pin (B), whereupon the piston
rod is pulled back into the pusher leg cylinder
automatically.
3. Re-position the pusher leg.
4. Release the valve pin (B), whereupon the piston
rod will move outwards again.
5. Move the throttle lever (A) forward into the
working position.
The feed control lever (C) does not need to be
touched throughout this operation.

Every day
Before undertaking any maintenance or changing
the insertion tool on pneumatic machines, always
switch off the air supply and bleed the machine by
depressing the start and stop device then disconnect
the air hose from the machine.
Clean and inspect the machine and its functions
each day before the work commences.
Conduct a general inspection for leaks and
damage.
Check that the air inlet nipple is tightened and that
the claw coupling is free from damage.
Check the function of the throttle handle. Make
sure that it moves freely up and down.
Check the function of the retainer. Make sure that
it locks the drill steel.
Change damaged parts immediately.

Disposal
A used machine must be treated and disposed of in
such a way that the greatest possible portion of the
material can be recycled and any negative influence
on the environment is kept as low as possible, and
in respect to local restrictions.
Periodic maintenance
After each operating period of approximately 100
working hours or three times a year the machine
must be dismantled and all parts be cleaned and
checked. This work must be performed by authorized
staff, trained for this task.
Damage patterns
Worn or broken parts must always be studied
carefully before they are replaced. They can give
important information about the condition of the drill
and about the way it is used and maintained.
Problem
Cause
Steel parts are a bluish colour The parts have been subjected
to excessive heat. This can be
caused by insufficient
lubrication or idling
Steel parts have small almost
microscopic fissures on the
wear surfaces
See above
Secondary damage
Dirt inside the drill
Interior misalignment due to
uneven tension of the side
bolts
Storage
Always oil the rock drill well, before you put it into
storage.
Always store the machine in a clean and dry place.
Make sure that no foreign matter enters the
machine.
Protect the chuck using the plastic plug provided

Wasserabscheiders
Der Schlauch zwischen Kompressor und
Wasserabscheider muss so lang sein, dass der
Wasserdampf abkhlt und kondensiert, bevor er den
Wasserabscheider erreicht.

speziell hierfr geschultem Personal durchgefhrt
werden.
Entsorgung
Eine verschlissene Maschine muss so entsorgt
werden, dass so viel Material wie mglich
wiederverwendet werden kann und die Umwelt in
bereinstimmung mit den rtlichen Regelungen so
wenig wie mglich belastet wird.
Schadensmuster

ghiaccio a temperatura ambiente.
Non versare mai alcol denaturato o sostanze simili
nella perforatrice, in quanto interferiscono con la
lubrificazione e danno luogo a una maggiore usura.

Lubrificazione

bar.
1. Una pressione alta incide negativamente sul
funzionamento e provoca usura eccessiva.
2. Una pressione bassa rallenta la velocit di
perforazione.

AVVERTENZA Espulsione dell'utensile di
inserimento
Qualora il trattenitore dellutensile sulla macchina
non sia bloccato, lutensile inserito pu essere
espulso con forza provocando lesioni personali.
Prima di cambiare lutensile di inserimento,
spegnere sempre la macchina, disinserire
lalimentazione dellaria compressa e spurgare la
macchina premendo il dispositivo di avviamento
e arresto.
Pressione dellacqua
