Nu Flow Middle East Completes First Industrial Project in Dubai

Nu Flow Middle East supervised licensee, Drydocks World Dubai while they completed a job for National Drilling
Company. They rehabilitated 100 feet of carbon steel pipes on an oilrig. Both the client and Nu Flow Middle East
were happy with how the job turned out.
Customer: National Drilling Company, the Rig Division of Abu
Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) was established in 1972
and is the largest drilling contractor in the Middle East.

Site: The job was completed at the Dubai Drydocks facility.

System: The system is made up of three 100 feet, 6 carbon
steel pipes that lay vertically. The pipes are for the drilling
machines seawater cooling system on the oilrig.
Situation: The aged pipelines inner diameters were significantly
reduced due to severe corrosion. The customer needed to
rehabilitate the pipeline without dismantling the system within a
very short timeframe.
Circumvention: If the customer had chosen to put in new pipes,
the rig would have not been able to depart for its assignment on
time. The system that needed to be repaired is the backbone
of the rigs main operation and the functionality was of serious
concern to the ship operators.
Solution: Drydocks World Dubai, a licensee of Nu Flow
Middle East undertook this project as per the clients tight
deadline under full supervision by Nu Flow Middle East. After
sandblasting, using blown-in technology, an epoxy coating was
applied along the inside diameter of the pipeline. This barrier
coating will prevent pinhole leaks, corrosion, rusty water and
other common failures associated with aged carbon steel
