B) Assignment Requirement:
This assignment comprises of 60% of the overall assessment for this module.
Questions:
1. One of the most debated issues about quality management is will it pay us financial
benefits. How far do you agree with this statement? Critically discuss this statement with
reference to some contemporary issues.
(30 marks)
2. Using an example of an existing business organisation and its competitors, compare and
evaluate the effectiveness of their quality management practices. Then, critically evaluate
the relationship between their quality management practices and financial performance.
(60 marks)
Note
Another 10 marks is reserved for other elements, such as the quality of introduction,
conclusion, references, grammar, vocabulary and word count.
