MONDAYEVANGELISTIC PRAYER
Chronological Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 34-36; John 16
Monday, June 8
Prov. 30:26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks;
Lord Seeking the Lost:
I watch people standing outside in the summer like wild animals in the field:
insecure, self-conscious of their vulnerability and natural defenselessness. So they
choose to burrow for security. Help my heart to chase after them! Those ones.
They are weak and exposed to danger. As I speak, to them make them wise
to seek shelter in the Savior. The best security is in the fortress of an
unchangeable God and his unconditional sacrifice for sin, where unalterable
promises stand like impregnable walls of rock. It will be well with my soul, but
only if I hide myself in the castle of Christs character, a guarantee of safety for all
who put their trust in him. I thank you Lord, that I have done so.
Many times I find myself like David in the cave Adullamsequestered with
you and safe from the cruelty of my haters. Long ago when Satan and my sins
pursued me, I fled to make my house in the cleft of the rock. In Christs split
side and spilt blood I found a resting place.
Lord, I pray __________ and __________ would run to you this week!
Whatever their present hurt or wound may be, Jesus feels for it; Jesus will console
it; Jesus will help. He truly heals the brokenhearted. In Christ the weak are made
strong, and the insecure given safety.
Faith gives me, here on earth, the protection of God who is in heaven. I
cannot need more and should not want less. Rabbits cannot build a castle; they
can only take advantage of that which is already provided by God. Help the lost I
witness to this week see they cannot build themselves a refuge, yet Jesus has
already provided it for them. The Father has given it. The Spirit has revealed it.
Help them Lord, to enter it for Jesus sake and to his glory. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezra 7-10; John 19:1-21
Thursday, June 11
Judges 6:6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the
children of Israel cried unto the Lord.
IM sorry, forgive me
Clean me up, Jesus
I didnt mean to hurt you, or desert you
Cause I love you so much
I admit it, that I did it
I didnt mean to let you down
Please Jesus turn my life around
And give me another chance
Every time I try to do the right thing
I always end up doing the wrong thing
The only thing I seem to do is keep on messin up
I get so confused, Lord I dont know what to do
But you told me if I would seek your face
Turn from my wicked ways
You would heal me, forgive me,
And give me another chance
WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezra 4-6; John 18
Wednesday, June 10
Hosea 14:3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we
say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth
mercy.
Holy God and Heavenly Father:
Help me cast off all self-confidence and trust only in you. When a child is
left without its natural protector, you step in and become its guardian. So also
when I lose every foothold and every handhold, I can throw myself back on you
and find everything I need. The fatherless are cast on the fatherhood of God as
their father, and you provide for them. Help me hang onto the bare arm of God.
No faith is so well supported by facts as faith in Jesus. No trust is so certain to be
rewarded with results as trust in the invisible but ever-living God.
Some children do have fathers, but are no better off because of them. And
the fatherless are rich when they have God. So it is better Lord, that I have you
and no other friends, than it would be for me to have all the contacts on the
planet and no God. To be lonely and lacking relationships with human
friends is painful, but to be bereft of God is true loneliness. As long as Jesus
is my fountain of mercy I am not alone in this life, and I thank you.
Psa. 41:9-10 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my
bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me
Lord, I want to find mercy in you and you alone. The more needy and
helpless I am, the more confidently I appeal to your loving heart. My need is the
basis for all my prayer. Give me a revival today in my relationship with you. Do
that especially after some other sweet earthly relationship ends, because
Song 5:16 His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved,
and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS

holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
Psa. 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall
receive me. Selah

INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan
Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
